Liked this place a lot. Has two swimming pools, and nice surrounding gardens. Family live on premises. It has a nice atmosphere. Rooms at the back are more modern so ask for a newer room when booking. We were put in the older rooms and asked for a change. They did so without hassle. Air con works well, breakfast was excellent. It's right near Blue Skyz bar and restaurant so there is some noise when bands play (but not too bad). Price very reasonable. The cleaners need a vacuum so they can do a better job cleaning. Overall recommend.

Family run accomodation in the heart of Legian. I was pleasantAly surprised with this little ‘village’ feel place. My friend and I stayed here for 7 nights and really enjoyed coming ‘home’ at the end of each busy day sightseeing etc. a bit of maintenance is needed but the open spaces and beautiful gardens more than make up for this. They only do breakfast but have a fridge stocked with cold drinks and Bintang. All the usual motel room amenities are available. This little place has 2 gorgeous pools. One at the front and the other at the back of the guest quarters. Two little dogs make themselves available for cuddles whenever bacon is served at brekkie. Owners are genuinely caring people. Highly recommend D’Kubu to anyone - it’s directly behind ‘BlueSkyz’ hotel/restaurant. Front gate is on Jalan Legian. Make sure you book the right place. Apparently there is another place with a similar name.

Great location, nice grounds, big room ,some friendly staff, 2 nice little swimming pools, apart from that it went downhill, WiFi drops out continuously, bathroom big but shower in our room very small and hot water not always available, leaking pipe in bathroom, which they fixed when asked, for us the bed was hard, aircon didn't work and had to be re gassed. Breakfast was average and not served till 8.00 oclock and served outside on garden settings. No communal sitting area ,so 8 of us gathered on the steps in front of our room to have a chat.

+ Near the sea and all main sights, good point for travel all around the island, cozy garden with two pools and wonderful dogs

- So when we arrived we found out that air conditioner isn’t cooling and makes such a strange noises like there is a bird stuck inside. Couldn’t sleep all night because of noise and heat. Next day when we tried to find reception to talk about problem we found out that receptionist works only when he wants, because it’s a family business, when he’ll wake up - he’ll arrive to reception, maybe... so when he arrived -about 11.30 a.m., we discussed situation, called for master and he told that conditioner is broken, should be changed for new one. It was the last time we saw receptionist on his place=) no one fixed problem and we suffered all the rest our holidays. Later We found out that teapot is broken too, but I was afraid to complain anything and couldn’t find receptionist on his place to ask for new teapot.
Even more about place, we paid for 10 days with breakfast included, but visited only 4 breakfasts, because you should order it with menu and wait for 15-25 minutes to get it. When in my last day I asked for two glasses of juice I got a refusal - you can’t ask for two glasses for one person, only one included. Doesn’t matter that I paid for 6 more unvisited breakfasts.
IMPORTANT!
-there is no parking for car at all, Wrong info in description

In the middle of legian but a world away in atmosphere. Down a safe laneway to the secure family run hotel. Immaculate gardens. Free range friendly dogs and chickens .... oh and a timid cat. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The 2 pools are spotless. Breakfast cooked by nyomen is WONDERFUL. All the staff are friendly .... and the family are too and very accommodating. Loved it.
