We have been to Goa several times and love the warm welcome we usually receive. We booked this holiday through ThomasCook, knowing that Indian standard of 3 star is basic which is all we needed, if only we had that....this is the worse place I have ever seen, never mind have the misfortune to stay in. The hotel was mainly for Indian families and Russian guests only not British. Not one member of staff could talk English and all the signs and posters (trips etc) where in Russian or Indian. We arrived at 5am and our taxi driver had to wake somebody up as they were not expecting us. The first room they put us in was a bed and a chair nothing else. We moved rooms 5 times. It was dirty through out, something we have never experienced in Goa before, owners have always been so proud. The staff here didn't care. the hotel is set back about a 10 minute walk from the main road down a dark road. we had money stolen from our room and had no help from our rep or the owners. I was sick from the food and the dirty pool that hadn't been cleaned in years. Worse hotel EVER.

Worse place than a guest house.. i highly recommend u viewers not to stay at such a place... staff is uncooperative, abusive and ill- mannered.. They can't even provide u with the room dat was booked in advance. Moreover dey don't even have locks in their washrooms. Seriously, we booked a suite in their resort and when we arrived we were provided with a standard room. The " Managment " is such dat without providing for the room (dat we paid for in advance) , demanded full payment for the rest of the peroid dat we booked the Suite for. This is professionalism to its lowest, me and my friends are regular travellers and beleive me we have never been to such a place who abuses and misbehaves with their customers, hell even resthouses and lodges who r not as " ESTEEMED " (sarcasm) as them, have better management. They cant even provide u with fresh towels... hahaha.. and what excuse do they have for such an act.. u were provided with the towels yesterday.. can u believe dis nonsense dat dey spout... please please if u dont wanna spoil ur stay at one of the most beautiful place in India. den dont stay at " Ginger Tree Beach Resort".. n believe me our trip was spoilt becoz of their unprofessional behaviour and i m sure dey will find a mean to spoil yours..
