Such a good location. We are warmly welcomed at the reception. The room was amazing just like a 5 star hotel. Was so excited to be out of the house, thinking to go for swimming which caused us not to sleep the night before but that excitement was suddenly changed. It was wow at first but then when it comes to room service as we ordered our breakfast we felt disgusted while we're eating as we saw dirty round trays, plates & cutleries under their service trolley.Didn't even finished the food & just kept the trolley outside the room.God knows from which room/guests it was. They should be very extra careful & double check to do the clearance first of their trolley before using it for the next guests especially during this time of COVID.
We paid full price so that we could get a junior suite with a balcony with views, but we ended up without a balcony and a view on to a construction site (which operated from 7am). On querying the lack of balcony, we were told we had a very large bathroom instead (!), and that a balcony room was unavailable for the first of our 2 nights. Whilst I'd be happy to pay the discounted airline stopover rate for this hotel (about US$30), I would not pay full price again. Yes, it has a good location, but the discrepancy between the information provided on the website and the reality of the junior suites is unacceptable.
One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at! I booked it kind of accidentally when Qatar Airways I was travelling with offered me 1 night in Doha for 30USD (or so) and frankly I didn't expect too much. So when I arrived there it was such a delightful surprise! Very kind receptionist checked us in quickly and another guy took us to the room to show the amenities. The room was indeed amazing, big and comfortable. However, the highlight of our stay was the breakfast! For the price of 50QAR you get an amazing buffet with basically everything you can think of. Two amazing waitresses took a great care of us, there was a guy preparing eggs and omelettes, we had lots of fresh vegetables and fruit available and as for the bread - it was just perfect! Overall, Al Bidda is a great choice due to its location in Souq Wakif, the perfect breakfast and first class service. Soon there will be a new underground station nearby which only improves communication.
We booked our Hotel through Discover Qatar as we used Qatar Airways and only paid $50 for the night instead of over $150.
Great customer service from the point we reached there till our checkout. The staff was very friendly, spoke English and French.
Rooms were clean and the room service was also great.
We wanted to eat a certain type of food and when called the receptionist, he gave us the best place nearby instead of recommending their own restaurant as they served that as well.
The Tivoli Hotel chain runs a group of boutique hotels in Souq Wakif. We picked Al Bidda Hotel, which also houses the dining room where the buffet breakfast is served. It proved an excellent choice. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with complimentary espresso, tea, water bottles which are replenished daily. The buffet breakfast is outstanding, with a selection of Arab, Indian and Western dishes, including a personalised omelette, and also salads, breads, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit and juices, cheeses and more. The staff are extremely helpful and very pleasant. The central hub is at the Amuraila Hotel. Every evening there is a walking tour of the Souq, which I highly recommend. Abu Bakar is an amazing guide, entertaining and fun, as well as a mine of information. Highly recommended.
