After the bad experience at terrible Embassy Hotel (just 150m away), we moved to this place, where we finally felt like at home. The staff from the reception was very kind, honest and hospitable. They showed us as well several rooms so that we could choose our favourite (we chose one on the second floor, as it looked more renovated and refurbished that the one we saw on the fourth floor. We paid 76.500LL/night with breakfast included).
Our room was very spacious, well equipped (it even had a kettle), pleasant, comfortable, modern and very well-maintained. The same applies for the ensuite bathroom, which was as well very clean (pictures attached).
There was hot water, wifi worked very well, the sleep quality was good too, and the location is great: Hamra is a pleasant, modern district, it has good dining options (we loved "King Fries - Malik al batata", in Hamra Street), there are shops, supermarkets (there is one just in front of the hotel) and it is possible to walk from here to Pigeon Rocks, the Corniche, Zaitunay Bay and the City Center.
The only point we liked less was the breakfast-buffet. Yes, they offer a breakfast-buffet, but it is very basic. Nevertheless, I would still stay here again if I returned to Beirut.
I found out following reviews in Beirut can be really tricky. Reading about Marble Tower I was not comfortable about it because of many bad comments. But the price was so good and our previous accomodation (with fabulous reviews) was awful. Getting there, what a great surprise. Comfortable room for two people. Nice and clean beds, good shower. Really nothing bad about it. The area around is not fancy, but full of lively spots for food, coffee, drinks or even shopping. Issam, at the reception, was extremely helpful and made us feel home. Breakfast is simple and traditional. If you’re looking for excellent value for money, you found it.
We stayed in the hotel for 14 nights. The room in the 4th floor was very clean and well maintained, but somewhat small.
The whole staff is very polite, helpful and friendly.
We wanted to change our room because of the size, they accepted and offered another room in the 2nd floor and showed it to us, but we preferred our first room.
The location is perfect, less than 3 minutes to Hamra on foot.
They offer a free good breakfast. You get more than expected for the money you pay.
I just want to suggest that the lower floors should be renovated as the 4th floor, there must be a solution for the sewage smell that appears sometimes in the room.
Last suggestion is that guests sitting in the reception should be sitting nicely and not lingering on sofas.
Finally we were satisfied with our stay and would like to thank the whole staff
We booked this at the last minute for New Year's eve as we wanted a place to crash in Hamra after partying all night. It didn't help at all that the receptionist asked that we come back at a specific time so that they could let us in - turns out they'd run out of keys and had to take us up to our room and let us in themselves. I didn't believe it for a second and just thought it was their way of keeping tabs on people coming in to party or otherwise. Our room had a hint of cigarette smoke, nothing felt clean, and the bathroom tub was stained with something grey and weird, so we didn't even bother showering. Nothing was provided with the room, not even water, so we ended up drinking out of the tap. The walls were really thin so we could hear our neighbours watching tv and arguing, and at 7AM, the cleaners outside our room woke us up with their loud laughing and chatting. Basically, a horrible hotel. We didn't even bother to have breakfast.
Hotel booked by my company for 1 night. Room was spacious but sparsely furnished and not very clean ( including bed sheets). When showering, the drain gave an awful smell that stayed for a long time. No internet in the room ( but free internet in lobby working well). Breakfast included very poor and breakfast room very dirty ( both tables and floor). Staff also prepares here room service breakfast and so items were very quickly gone. In general staff nice. Location great. But I have stayed many times in Hamra and other hotels in the same price class ( including one next door, not sure if I am allowed to mention the name) are if a much better quality. So I will not return to this hotel unless all the others are fully booked
