I dont ussualy wirte this kind of things about hotels but this place has no right to be 5* or they dont know what ar ehe requirement to be 5* hotel. Hotel is big but when you enter no wibe, music, nothing. You go to the pub or area where you can have a drink and meetings and they ave a piano there and nothing. No music and waitress hardly every come to ask you if you wnat something. I waited 20 minutes and none came. They all stood behind bar. So I went to ask for drink. After 30 minutes of not coming my drink I stood up and asked. In a 2 minutes i had a drink with no appologize at all. In a breakfast area people hardly say good morning. Some walls need to be repainted as there is a lot of marks form leaking of water. Breakfast is fine with ok choices but if you wnat to get a coffee the only option for you is to poor hote water into cup and drop some powder cofee. That is insane and not tollerable for 5* star hotel. For juice only 2 choices and no choice of fresh one. I went for swimming pool and sauna twice. It was fine except those huge marks of leaking on the wall and one sauna didnt work at all. The only place which looks fine was gym. Swimming pool is accesible by people form outside the hotel. In my room it internet works ok but higher you go internet simply not working. TV is alwasy freeying and they have an option to choose form paid or free movies. In a choice you have only 1 movie. Room doesnt have a minibar or better to say it does but is empty as it is normal in any 5* star hotels. In bathrrom the toilet has plactic top. I have never ever seen it in any 5* star hotels. I stayed hereonly becasue of other hotels in Astana was booked out and i can understand why. So this place needs to seriusly thinking either to change stars or do something with this place.
So if you are thinking of have some rest and feel good after work this is not the place to be.They have 4 lifts but only are working. So it is normal that especially in the morning you have to wait for at least 10 minutes.Just to be fair people at the reception are working very well.

Didn't expect much after reading some of the previous reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Extremely nice staff, big comfortable rooms, nice citywide and overall beautiful newly renovated building.

Internet worked everywhere in the building which is important for me being on a business trip. Very good Thai spa close to the gym.

Besides one small incident that occurred once because of another guest I can't complain.

Would definitely come back if I ever come back to Astana!

The hotel is amazing! I`ve heard that they had a reconstruction, but now it is a brilliant 5 star hotel! Lobby is luxuriously designed. After chek in a bellman assisted with my luggage. From that moment i started to feel myself like in home. The hotel is located in the center of the city next to the First Parliament and the First President House, nearby there is a city park, also in a five minutes by walking you can find City Market, which is the best one for national suveniers and dried fruits. Agora bar is a pretty nice place to have a cup of coffee in a silence. And i was really satisfied with the breakfast service.
During my stay, it became my daily regime to visit Agora, doing my business and in the evening to go to the Spa. Gym and the swimming pool is shining one.
This is the hotel that i would return for many times!

Iwas here from the end of July 2014 for 14 days.During this period the spa, gym and swimming pool was on renovation. Quiet location. A spacious room provided. Friendly and good reception staffs. The room service was abit slow. Complimentary mineral water daily given but sometimes have to call reception to remind them. The breakfast buffet was aplenty but the same food everyday. Few shopping malls within 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel including the famous Artem(bazaar). Opposite of the hotel was Delta Bank and Tafam(24 hrs muslim restaurant).Del Papa(western food) is on the left of the hotel .Talisman (souvenirs shop) and India Gate(Indian restaurant) was within 30 minutes walking distance .Basically this hotel is in good downtown location.

Good comfortable hotel. Room was nice and clean. Perfect timing of houskeeping service. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Impressive SPA with several saunas and massage rooms. Didn't use gym, but was looking nice. A bit expensive.
