I stayed here in June for 5 days for a wedding and everything about the resort, hotel, and staff was fantastic.
I arrived very early hours of the morning (due to missing a connection) and the staff were on hand to check me in and guide me to my room.
The room was very big, with a large covered bed, a big bathroom and large rainfall shower, and a balcony overlooking the resort and Lake Victoria. The rainfall shower was great, and the room was always clean and refreshed each day.
Although the hotel was reasonably busy, it was still calm and relaxed and peaceful walking around the grounds. The staff all waved and said hello as you walked around, and one even gave me their umbrella (even though I tried to decline!) whilst it rained!
The breakfast and dinner (we didn't eat lunch) was always full of options, both hot and cold, and the staff were helpful and efficient.
We took a boat trip with the golf resort/marina across Lake Victoria to the chimpanzee sanctuary which was amazing. However, we were disappointed that the golf resort charged us a reasonable fee (which we were happy to pay) but didn't say we needed to pay for a ticket at the sanctuary. It was by chance we all had enough cash to buy the ticket on arrival, and this appears to be a common issue.
The swimming pool and surrounding area was peaceful and relaxing, even when there was a number of people there. The pool was quite cold but was better if you wanted to swim. The staff around the pool were very helpful and efficient when requesting food or drinks.
The internet was free to use across the resort but some parts were a bit patchy. It was perfectly fine for any requirements I had.
The resort is about 30-40 minutes from Kampala airport and the hotel can arrange transport if required.
It was a fantastic place to stay and I'd highly recommend it.
