We were in this hotel for a workshop and I really liked the meeting room: light, good airconditioning. Located near supermarket, market and french cultural centre.
the rooms vary a lot, some of them have thin matrassEs on wooden board: painful for visitors' backs. Wifi was good in these rooms, on the terrace and in the apartment building.
Staff at the Reception is very attentive and arranged me a room with much better bed (bad WiFi connection though, you can't have it all...). Restaurant is not recommended.
I have some doubts as to the cleanliness of the pool water.
Conclusion : if you have the choice, better choose another hotel in Ouagadougou.
Very relaxed atmosphere, so many professional and really welcoming and friendly people around taking care of guests.
Will come again, really love the place and people.
And the cold beer at the pool.
You will have a good strong and reliable wifi all over the hotel, a big plus.
A 2 minute walk from the Ran Hotel is the L' eau vive restaurant with the singing nuns.
But the hotel restaurant is a nice and relaxed option, too.
Not crowded as some of the popular downtown restaurants.
Good for business lunch or dinner.
For downtown guests close to Hotel de Ville the Ran hotel is perfect.
It is also popular for meetings, presentations and seminars.
Own security and parking lot.
The Ran Somketa is a nice peaceful Hotel in central Ouagadougou.
The rooms in the garden buildings are absolute quiet and peaceful. Tooms come with A/C and Sat TV, good beds. The pool is very well maintained. There is a nice restaurant with rich menu
I did eat 4 times and was always happy. There is also a lobby bar where breakfast is served in the morning. A nice french breakfast with croissant, baguette, papaya, coffee, juice and eggs prepared by order. All employees are very friendly and professional. I did stay at 2 different rooms in the garden buildings, both were freshly renovated.
The hotel has own power generator and free wifi everywhere. The hotel offers airport shuttle. Good place for conference and meetings.Very central, market and railwaystation in walking distance.
I would definitely stay there again.
