This seemed to be mostly used by local people. The breakfast was poor and in particular there was no fruit at all, odd in a country of a billion oranges and the fruit juice was made up squash! A highlight was freshly made pancakes one day but these did not start until 8am.
The room was basic. No fridge, no safe, not well cleaned, few toiletries. The pool area was pleasant to sit in but the pool was freezing. On the plus side the bed was comfortable, we could keep the room warm and it was quiet at night. The bar was smoky and dark and uninviting.
There are a lot of places to eat nearby but it's a long was from the old town.
Hotel is located in modern part of Fes and actually its position is very good. Lovely lobby and great garden with swimming pool and large balconies would all be features to grant its 4 official stars. However, outdated rooms with numeorus flaws (my group exchange dphotos via viber) and above all poor food choice for breakfast and dinner made me give rating of poor. Doors to the balcony could not be opened, however after complaint at the reception someone fixed it. Entire room of nice size and with kind of a morrocan charm due to its wooden details looked outdated. Room has 5 electrical sockets: 2 for lamps, 1 for fridge and 1 for TV. Only ONE is available in a double room for a modern traveller - unless you move night stand, disconnect a lamp and plug your device in. I cannot complain on cleanliness however corridors were extremely cold, heating in the room stopped both nights around 10pm (only unheated air was blowing out). There is no elevator to the upper floor - in a 4 star hotel?? Luckily, there are only ground and first floor. Some spare beds were left in the corridor and late in the second night someone was taking them down the stairs simply by pulling them and crashing on the stairs. Not the nicest sound once you are asleep.
Another average hotel during our Broadway travel tour. We had two separate beds even after changing the room. Ground floor with easy access to the pool, just jump out of the balcony 😉
It’s looks all much nicer in the evening with some lights on and music, chilling area by the pool has enough sitting and cushions.
Room was clean same as bathroom but needs updating. Service was ok but didn’t have much interaction with them except the bar where they give us gin without any measurements (we liked that 😁).
The food was a let down, breakfast with a small choice or none if you were too late. Dinners were blunt according to our fellow travellers and we went to eat elsewhere.
There is a shopping centre about 25-30 min one way (to get mineral water) but it’s a nice stroll along avenue with palm trees and really wide walking area. Watch out when crossing the street as pure madness.
Across the street, opposite the hotel is the cafe at the top overlooking Fez, great spot and recommend for ice cream and mint tea 🙂
We stayed here while exploring Fes. Probably the equivalent of a European 3-star, the hotel is well equipped, with a few issues. On the plus side, all of the staff (restaurant, bar and general) are faultless - really friendly and exceptionally helpful which made a real difference. There are two restaurants, one is a fixed price buffet and the other is more flexible with pizzas, sandwiches and excellent brochette / kebab dishes. The bar is well stocked although very, very popular with smokers. Not a problem you can have your drinks in the adjacent lounge area. The rooms are reasonably well equipped and clean enough (could do with the occasional floor sweep). There are two blocks: Chalet style rooms by the pool and a block of apartments slightly further away from the pool area. We had a chalet room (I think #102) which was nice, and looked out onto the pool. Unfortunately it was adjacent to the hotel nightclub which, to be honest, didn't really disturb us except that we couldn't use the air conditioning as when turned on it pumped tobacco fumes from the club straight into the room. We moved to an upstairs room in the block away from the pool area which was fine, if maybe slightly less well appointed. So in summary, happy in our second room and lovely helpful staff.
Horrible hotel smelly, food could not be worse, pool chairs with ripped seat, pool slippery floor and dirty water, air conditioned stopped or at a minimum.
3 stars ? see the photos if You believe in the comments that say well.
