Pros : The location is very good, the hotel has underground car parking , very important in the city center. Wi-fi is good, free of charge,The room ( we had double room) is spacious with the fridge in the room, tea and coffee making facilities.
Cons : The room has a very outdated decor with ghastly fluorescent lights , there is no air condition in the room, no toiletries, only one towel per person. No lift from the underground garage to the Hotel reception. Grime in tea cups and glasses in the room. Only selected national TV programs. The breakfast is quite basic and you have to go out from the Hotel building to the restaurant for your breakfast.
Overall the hotel reminds me of hotels 20-30 years ago - basic, urgently in need of renovation.
The place is in the heart of Warsaw and near the main station of the city. I got upgraded from single room to double room. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. I will defenitely will stay there again if I come back to Warsaw.
I was supposed to spend only one night in Warsaw and I was looking for something cheap but in the city centre. Well, this place is nothing special but definitely was cheap. Pluses - the bed was quite comfortable, there was a kettle so I could make tea, there also was a small fridge in the room. No air conditioning which I actually prefer. Big windows and a really nice view. Breakfast is especially worth recommending! DELICIOUS AND BIG CHOICE - seriously for this price it was great. Scrambled eggs, sausages, various types of bread, ham and cheese, vegetables and various sweet buns...
As for negative sides. When I came it turned out that they checked me in a different room than I wanted. I had to wait because the system was down. You can't pay by credit card after 5 p.m. (that's funny). But generally the sercice was nice and helpful. The room itself is very old fashioned. It didn't look properly cleaned unfortunately :( There was no shower gel in the bathroom, only soap. Although I got the password for WiFi it was impossible to connect. The TV was old, dirty and didn't work.
So, if you are looking for a place to relax and stay for a long time it is definitely not for you. But if you need a stay in the centre, then it's worth its price. It's not a nightmare, beds are comfy and the breakfast is awesome.
We booked the hotel in the last minute as it was fully booked at the recommended hotels. The hotel is located close to the train station and practical in that way. The room was clean enough and functional for sleeping purposes. The number of stars given will not be more than two because of a few things.
Firstly, it was easy to offer free wifi but proved harder to live up to expectations. No wifi is really bad and even worse when you make the promise.
Secondly the miserable level of basic service. With basic I mean here the checking out of your room. It should not come as a surprise that your guests wants to pay for the stay. There were very little preparations made for this and the language challenged person could offer little help. We ended up talking to the owner or similar on the phone and realised that we first had to go out in the streets to find an ATM as no cards were accepted here. In the end the guy couldn't even give us a receipt. I am still not sure where this ends. It took us about an hour to check out.
Small things such as an elevator that only stops in between floors(!) and wafer thin walls in a very basic room are okay I think. The location together with a nearby cafe serves a decent breakfast makes me want to award them with two stars. Next time I will try something else but it was no disaster.
1.- I found food of previous guest in the refrigerator. :( 2.- Only one towel, even we were two people. 3.- The shower was not clean properly. 4.- No toiletries at all. Only hand soap. 5.- No cleaning room during weekend 6.- Receptionist (It was really a security guard) did not speak english. 7.- Breakfast was a bit poor, and timetable only from 7-9. 8.- Only one big pillow and two tiny ones. Not enough for two persons. 9.- Internet was not working. We were using the one of the restaurant downstairs because we were just over it.
In the other hand, location was good and room was big. No problem for parking on weekends. On week days, if you have a car, you might consider to rent hotel parking, because on the street, you also have to pay, and max 3 hours, during the day.
