We booked the Duplex Suite and looking at the photos we were in for a nice little treat. Upon arrival we were lucky enough to be able to check in at 2pm instead of the standard 3pm which was nice. The room was absolutely huge, it has a separate kitchen area, dining area, lounge, bedroom and jacuzzi area and then a large upstairs area too which included a seating area and a bar table.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi was fabulous too, although takes a while to fill up which I guess you would expect. The room was clean but could do with a little refurbishment of the building work rather than the interior decoration. The upstairs section in the room would be a lot more beneficial if they added a little extra such as a pool table as there is loads of empty space which doesn't really make sense and seems pointless.
The location was brilliant, 20 mins in a taxi from the airport and hardly a 2 minute walk and your into the centre/square.
I was concerned about the noise as I has read about this in previous comments, we did hear a few people shouting drunkenly during the night but what was more annoying was they were continuing to do building work within the hotel throughout the night so you could constantly hear hammers banging.
The staff were polite and pleasant, the only real issue we had was the hotel confirmed we could have a late check out but when we arrived at the hotel they advised this wasn't the case. It wasn't a massive issue as they let us check out at 12 instead of 11.
We didn't eat within the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants serving all sorts of different food outside so made sense to walk round the corner and eat a variety of.
Loved this hotel, it’s in a perfect location and the room has everything you could possibly need including glasses, cups and a kettle. We didn’t have any noise problems on the 4th floor. The only negative for us is that the staff on the front desk are extremely unfriendly- not a good morning or a good evening- nothing. In fact they ignore you as you pass by. It’s been mentioned on other reviews-what a strange way to deal with your guests.
Location is lovely. However we left the room at 10am to go and grab food and have a wander for the day. Returning at 5pm, the door was left wide open from the cleaner with all of our things on offer for anyone walking past the entire day. When i spoke to reception she said it won't happen again and that was it. Luckily our passports were in the safe.
Walls are incredibly thin. The last evening our flight was at 6am, kept awake the whole night by a party above us for the night and due to the walls being so thin it felt like it was literally in our room. Not one minute of sleep ready for the day.
Wanted this to ve a positive review but i really would avoid it.
Stayed for 3 nights. Location is fantastic and rooms are clean, we went for the junior suite. Lowered the review to 4 star as when we arrived we were told point blank ‘check in 3pm’ so we then asked to use the luggage room to which the reply was over there, you literally just leave your luggage next to the toilets so not secure at all. We did however go back at around 2.45 and our room was ready. We came and went a few times each day and not once was we greeted with a simple ‘hello’ I don’t expect a full conversation but I just thought it was rude that no one even looks up. Even on check out we wasn’t asked how our stay was. Any way as I said great location and clean room but if staff were a bit more approachable i would’ve left 5 stars.
Booked this hotel for my boyfriend's birthday, lovely room, clean and tidy. Hotel is a street away from the main square so an ideal location. The bed was 2 singles pushed together therefore was uncomfortable. Arranged birthday banner and balloons for my boyfriend's birthday which was a nice touch. Opening times for the bar was a little odd as only open in the morning midweek. Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. There is noise from a couple of local bars/clubs in the early hours but this comes with being so central. We would definitely book into this hotel again. If staying here ensure you visit Pauls place which is a great restaurant opposite the hotel, but be sure you book.
