I had a single room on the second floor, and my cousins had a double room, around the corner. I don't know the age of the building, but as many cities in the Czech Republic, it has seen much history. Both rooms were comfortable, mine looked over a side street and my cousins looked over one of the Squares in Hradiste.
Each room had a desk and plenty of storage space, bath rooms were modernized to North American standards ( Sink, Toilet, Shower in the same room ). There was a TV and a small fridge.
The decor in the single room, felt like being in a castle, some walls were exposed brick and others were from plaster. It could not have been a better room.
I would not stay here again. I had booked a double room 4 months ahead to attend my son's wedding. I arrived mid evening after 2 flights and 3 trains only to find the owner manager had cancelled my booking and had no rooms available that night. He tried to make amends and found me a single room not too far away for the night and drove me there but that meant I missed dinner with my family and didn't meet them until 11.30pm. I was able to check in the next day, he and his staff were helpful after the first night problems. The hotel rooms do not have aircon as was indicated on the booking site and it can sometimes be noisy outside at night with windows open. My "large double bed" was 2 singles pushed together. No tea/coffee facility in the room. On the plus side the owner was very attentive during my 5 day stay. Shower was a good size, breakfast adequate. Wifi was very good, the room had it's own router. On the booking site I used this hotel was rated higher than the nearby 4 star hotel my family stayed in. We found that difficult to understand, they were more than happy in their accommodation.
Free Wi Fi in whole hotel and room, nice shower, comfy bed (Room 702), lovely common areas with ornaments and pictures, great staff who are very friendly!
I stayed here Friday to Sunday in October 2016.
Mario and his team were fantastic. They waited up for me well after reception closed to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay.
When I left, the bill came to 3,000 Cr (£100 GBP) and that included breakfast for my two night stay as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this beautiful hotel and I have written a separate review for the restaurant too (which I also highly recommend).
You can hear the church bells from the hotel striking every hour but there was something quite soothing about this to me.
Not very much noise and the other guests were also very polite - though I was the only person there from UK, everyone was very welcoming.
Hi. We have spent 2 nights at this hotel when me and my husband when visiting my family in the town. We had a very nice room decorated with old furniture. sleep quality is very good and we enjoyed our breakfast very much. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. In future I would stay again. I think it is a very good choice for accommodation in the town of Uherske Hradiste, right in the centre of the town and with a very good price/services ration.
I was staying on a Business trip to the area for two nights. This was my first time staying at Hotel Maxi, but not my first time staying in the area as i previously stayed at Hotel Slunce for 3 weeks the previous year and to be honest the only reason i was booked into the Maxi, was because the Slunce was fully booked.
However i had a pleasant experience during my stay at Maxi. The staff were very attentive and polite throughout. The hotel was in the centre of town which was great. My room was probably the downside as it was dark and the furniture was old and not what i was used to. However saying that the room was very clean.
Hotel Maxi has one of the best Wi-Fi hotspots i've ever experienced at a Hotel so that was a plus and its free.
Breakfast was good and we also tried the restaurant which was great also.
Overall the Hotel is a good choice and if they bring the rooms up to date then this Hotel would be a great choice and would run the Hotel Slunce close.
