We were really happy with this find. After being around so many people and tour groups wandering Prague in August, City Apartments was a great escape. In a quiet neighborhood, it was just a short walk to the Charles Bridge. We walked everywhere from this hotel for three days, leaving our car in a parking space by the hotel--that includes the castle, old town and the St. Charles Bridge. The restaurant across the street from the hotel was great and cheap. We ate there twice. Other cafe's are not far away so it was easy to get my morning cappuccino fix. We didn't use the kitchen. Slept well here. Not sure how, but I ended up leaving my backpack in the room before we checked out and headed out of town. The staff was kind enough to mail it to me here in the states and it arrived just a few days after I was back home. Great service. I'd highly recommend this place.
Good choice if you hire a car, they have free parking space near the hotel. However, the slots are always crowded and available after 5 p.m. We booked an apartment room which have 2 separate bed rooms, a shower, a toilet, kitchen, dining room with TV, small balcony, washing and drying machine. The apartment is equipped with everything we need. It's about 10 mins walk to the Charles Bridge, it's not far for us as we've enjoyed river view while walking to the bridge. It's also not too far from the Petrin Tower Cable Station, where you can find a good restaurant, U Krize restaurant. We recommend both apartment and restaurant.
Just be careful to check-in before 6 p.m. and inform them the estimated arrival time in advance as the staff works for limited hours. This property is apartment, not a hotel.
In the Smichov district, on the left bank of the Vltava, and located very close to both the river and a strong tram track with connections to the castle district and to both old and new towns, this place is very well situated. Half of the popular sights of this great city are walking distance, sometimes by crossing one of three spectacular bridges. The room was comfortable and quiet, thanks to the hotel's location on a short interior street. We didn't use the available kitchen, but there are good breakfast, lunch and dinner places a few steps away. The staff was very helpful with all of the arrangements of our stay, from airport taxi both directions to advice about transit to suggestions for meals and entertainment, plus the mechanics of the room. Highly recommended.
Nice place, with nespresso machine in the kitchen! Cool. :) You can buy capsule from the reception girl.
The bedroom is clean and large. The Charles bridge is 10 minutes by feet. The tram station in the next corner, but all poi reachable by feet. The parking a little bit difficult, but not impossible.
After all, I really recommend this apartment, and try the restaurant at the opposite side.
We just spent three nights at the City Apartment in Prague. The hotel is located in Prague 5 and is walking distance to Charles Bridge and the old Town.
We stayed in a fully equipped two bedroom. It has a full kitchen, built in Nepresso coffee machine and a washer and driver. We didn't really utilize them other than the fridge and the Nepresso coffee machine.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There is also free parking on the street.
It was a great place to stay and conveniently located. We would stay here again.
