We went for 2 night as a group of 3.
It toke at list 5 booking confirmations to get the right one. Wrong dates, prices and diffenrent way of fonctioning between employes that had make the booking a mission and very confusing.
When we arrived the room that we asked for wasn't available and they put us in 2 diffenrents rooms. No raisons why and no apologies. Just that it is how it is. We had to packed, checked out and in the second day. Not what you want to do for a short stay. They couldn't even make shure that the second room will be ready before 3 pm, normal check in. This oblige us to organised our day in fonction of the hotel bag management. When we arrived to rechecked in there was only 1 key for the 3 of us. This is a problem when everything in the hotel fonction with a key ( elevator, access to the pools). Again, we had to organise ourself around the hotel's "one key". This is getting difficult when we didn't want to do the same tjinks at the same time 😏.
And to had to our already not very plaisant stay, the cleaning woman entered the room when one of us was in the shower. Telling us that we were supposed to be out because it was on her tablet. It was 9h30 when the check out is 10am.

The personal was unplaisant, limit rud. No drink, coffee or apologises for all our problems during our stay.

Hotel confortable and beautifull. Easy access to a lot of place to visit in Wellington ( Te Papa, cuba street, cable car...)

Dear 536audreys, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Warm regards, Ian Charlton General Manager

Staff incredibly helpful. Had a few odd requests for them (can we store our bikes for an hour etc) and they went out of their way to make it as easy as possible. Quick service. Great pool and spa. Lovely toiletries, tea, coffee etc very high quality. Look for the flash deals and grab a real bargain. Great location too.

We really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and quiet despite there being a busy road next to the hotel.

I'd advise minimising luggage. There was much space to put four bags as there was a beach, chair and small table in the room.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Kids loved the pool and spa. Best of all was the kids movie in the meeting room, with snacks provided. We enjoyed our complementary drink. Lovely surprise.

Next time I'd probably get and apartment for extra space and we'd love hen have room to eat in.

Thanks for a great stay.

Questions & answers about the pool

Answer from Nick B
May 2020 |
Believe so, I’ve never used it though. The hotel is split into two sections, the old Museum Hotel which was moved across the road when Te Papa was built, and the original serviced apartments built separately. These two buildings are now joined. The rooms are not that different, some are apartment style, some are hotel style. They’re all well appointed. The biggest difference is that the apartment rooms have cooking and washing facilities. As for the pool, the room keys are limited per floor, so it’s plausible that some are not accessible to the pool.
