I arrived early for check in with confirmation in writing that early check in was available. Had stayed here another time 3yrs prior and although not perfect it was a nice hotel for an overnight stay.....not this time..... Reception just said NO you will have to wait as not cleaned yet), while chatting to his mate. Made me sit for 4hrs on verandah . Put me a double room in an evacuation impossible corridor, without requested balcony, room did have cockroaches, power points out of walls that burnt appliances. Room booked was a single with air con and bathroom and balcony that I knew were closer to exit. Hotel full of permanent residents that liked to scream and rant down the halls all night, destroy property and try to bum anything from cigarettes to money off you constantly. Rubbish bins overflowing and syringes kept appearing in the overflowing bin and not a fan to be seen. Fill out covid form and lots of pictures but no hand sanitisers anywhere and if contactless is throwing the keys on the counter than yeah contactless. I would class this Hotel as an asylum more than accommodation and they had the nerve to demand payment upfront for the most terrifying 20hrs I have ever encountered. Spend your money elsewhere and go to a decent hotel...I will be.

Very helpful and courteous staff. Parking for guests is limited. Rooms large and airy. Shared kitchen. Enjoyable stay and close enough to Brisbane CBD. Reasonable costs for room hire. Can rent room with bathroom or a room with a communal bathroom.

The booking sites make it out to be some quaint little place that has some charm when in fact it was an absolute dive. Stained sheets (we slept on top of the bed) Broken bathroom door that half opened. Bugs crawling all over floor. Cockroach on bathroom floor. Cover missing over bathroom extractor fan/light so all the bulbs were exposed. Dirty old wooden cabinetry no cutlery (not that I would use it). Our cruddy room was right at the back of the building and underneath almost like it was in a basement. Right beside our room was this shed/flat with a bunch of crack heads living in it. Off their chops on ice. I was too scared going to sleep incase they broke in. disgusting hole and I can't believe people pay to stay there.

This hotel is great. The staff are really nice and super helpful if you need anything.
Our room was clean and tidy and we had great room service for tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Good size room with a balcony.
I honestly have no idea why anyone would complain.
It’s safe and secure, but easy to access as a guest.
The sound does travel a little I guess. Kitchen was well equipped and always clean. There is laundry but we didn’t use it. Also outdoor space downstairs, drinks machine, snacks are available to buy too. Good location for buses / train or 25 min walk into CBD.

Terrible! Absolutely unsuitable for families. The people in the room across the hall had a loud domestic dispute with loud profanities. Then reception came down and tried to blame my children for the noise. My children were sitting quietly eating dinner.
When I explained that the noise was coming from across the hall the staff member refused to knock on their door and refused to apologise for her mistake. It was mostly a man's voice yelling and somehow they decided to blame a 7 & 8 year old.
Besides that, the place is full of druggies.

Two staff members knocked on our door later and asked us to leave after reading my review. One of my children was already asleep and I had nowhere else to go late at night.
There were cockroaches everywhere, as stated by previous guests.
My children were scared when they heard a man threatening his spouse. We heard 3 different domestic disputes during our time there, but management did nothing.
There was also a naked man standing in his doorway at night... thankfully my children didn't see that.
They locked the laundry door at 8pm even though I was standing outside waiting for my clothes to finish drying. There was a notice saying I could ring 24 hours and talk to a staff member. I tried to ring and ask if I could get my clothes...total BS about the 24 hour response, there was just a recorded message. 12 hours later I got my clothes back...I dunno how they can be so spiteful to lock the door while I'm waiting outside for my clothes to dry. Worst hotel in the Southern Hemisphere!
