If you're stuck between Villa Pianciani and another venue - choose Villa Pianciani - and here's why.

We held our wedding at Villa Pianciani in September 2016 - gathering family and friends from across the globe for our Russian, Iranian, British, American extravaganza. It was an occasion in our lives that will be forever associated with the togetherness of family (some of whom are no longer with us), a celebration of happiness, uncontrolled laughter or just simply put- joy de vivre. And what brought it all together in such a effortless and charming fashion was Rita, Livia and their team at Villa Pianciani. And of course the majesty of the villa itself.

If you haven't been there already and are looking for a place to hold your special day or are just simply interested in visiting the area - please read on.

Villa Pianciani really is regal in its unpretentious rustic majesty. It's grand pink facade set in the middle of glorious Umbrian greenery is unforgettable. There's something nostalgic about the estate but I think what touched us most is that in being there you constantly felt the care and integrity with which the staff guard the villa and its land and in so doing create a truly unique and Italian escape. The beautiful main building and comfortable annex and cottages are perfectly set up for accommodating a large multi generational family catering a truly luxurious experience from start to finish. What we did, and what I recommend you doing was rent the villa for a week to hang out in it before and after the wedding . You will be able to enjoy Spoleto and the surrounding countryside and taste the mouth watering meals the team prepares for you onsite while having time to discuss and set up last minute logistics and wind down after the big day.

If you're planning a wedding or a complicated and intricate event - know that the level of care and integrity extends directly into the service provided by the team. The team supports you throughout every big decision - catering, decorations, photographers, make up artists - you name it - they know the best of it. They guide you when you need guidance and step back and enthusiastically embrace your choices when guidance isn't needed. Most of all the team is highly organized, experienced and connected to local artisans and providers. Rita has a meticulous eye and will not let you down. She focuses on ALL the details - I distinctly remember her presenting me with different ribbons which she had personally sourced for our wedding favors - tiny bottle of olive oil from the estates. She had selected several shades of cream satin ribbon in a number of weights, some with trim, some without, some thick, some thin - she recommended her favorite and based her decision on the tone of the decorative labels. Her eye for detail left me in awe. It's that eye for detail and care that as an anxious bride - helps you feel just that little bit calmer - which as any bride knows is a truly priceless commodity.

On the day, the team is calm, collected and meticulous - supporting the operations from "behind the curtain" like a well oiled machine yet being flexible enough to cope with any challenges presented.

Before, during and after the event, Rita and team are professional communicators - they are always responsive, available and accountable - again something that is incredibly important to those planning the biggest day of their lives.

It's been 4 years and we are still in touch with the team - the working relationship we had naturally extended into a friendship - we can't wait to see them again, and to celebrate life with them again soon. And perhaps it's telling that we have an oversized print of Villa Pianciani taking up 3/4 of one wall in the master bedroom of our home.

We attended a wedding at this place. Its a property large bedrooms, professional kitchen, dining and huge open forestry in natural surroundings. A nice swimming pool and lawns add the beauty of this place. The missing part was no fans though it was quite hot in July. So put some ceiling fans or wall fans and it's perfect for such events.

On behalf of everyone that stayed with me, we had the most incredible time at Villa Pianciani. Everyone who joined us has not stopped talking about it, and everyone was very sad when we had to all go back to work on the Monday morning!

The staff at the complex were so welcoming and helpful, and the way that the complex has been renovated is just stunning. The grounds are really beautiful, every room has its own charm. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Where do I start? We absolutely LOVED Villa Pianciani!! We were 18 in a villa with 13 bedrooms and an enormous amount of space. The staff is fabulous- we were greeted by the group on arrival. By the time we left they felt like family. Rita, the house manager, is terrific and so helpful. The staff always had a smile on their face and made it feel like our home.
The grounds are beautiful and full of history. Situated on a mountaintop, the view was spectacular.
The food was beyond delicious. "Mama" spent hours cooking whatever we wanted. Just wonderful. And the local wine could not be beat!
One of the most relaxing trips we have ever taken. We were all so sad to leave. So happy we took so many pictures. A trip worth remembering.

We stayed here with a group of 23 to celebrate a significant birthday. The villa is set in an idyllic situation on top of a hill with panoramic views in all directions. Lying by the pool in the hammock was very special. The staff were all amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We had a cooking lesson with "Nonna" and many meals there including barbecues and al fresco meals under the grape covered pergola. There are a number of towns locally well worth a visit and the town of Spoleto nearby is charming. It is only just over an hour by train to Rome. We would highly recommend the villa especially for a group. There are some single rooms and many doubles as well, all with en-suites. We hope to go back!
