We had a wonderful time at this agriturismo. It’s in a great location for exploring the Tuscany region. We stayed 4 nights and wished it was longer. Our room was beautiful and had a lovely view out over the hills. It was really interesting to hear about the history of the farm from Giacomo. A highlight for us was the cooking class, Giacomo and Cristiana are obviously passionate and thoughtful about using fresh, local and organic ingredients. I learned a lot about how to select the best ingredients and hopefully can reproduce the delicious dishes for my family after we return home. We cooked gnocchi, papardelle, tiramisù, bruschetta and thinly sliced beef. The wine chosen by Giacomo to accompany the meal was also lovely. We also ate at 2 local restaurants recommended by Giacomo and were really happy with those choices. We highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
Nice, quiet setting. 2 km from Montepulciano. Classic Italian breakfast. Many nice wineries to visit in the area. Salcheto (great rose), Manvi (small boutique vineyard).
We booked last minute, so we got the last room available, very small. Book ahead to get your choice!
We spent three days at in a very comfortable and clean double room with a nice view over hills of the typical Tuscan olivary plantations. Take your time to enjoy the evening sitting on the accommodations terrace with a nice glass of wine. For breakfast you will find a huge choice of several delicious home-made cakes, cerials and fresh fruits.
The communication and service is very friendly, the hosts are very pleasant and if you like to you will get a lot of advices for trips you can do around and restaurants you will really like.
La Caggiole is about a 5 minutes drive by car to Montepulciano, where you can find your experience in the very popular and tasty wines. Take your time to enjoy a tasting!
We were two couples traveling together and had a wonderful experience staying at Le Caggiole. The location is both beautiful and convenient. The rooms are immaculately clean. Our accommodations included a bedroom and a sitting area with a kitchen. Our friends room was a couple of steps away so we were able to gather in the sitting area and share dinner or a bottle of wine. Le caggiole is very beautiful. It has been in the same family for eight generations. Giacomo is the owner and he was a pleasure to make arrangements with. He was always prompt in responding to any question I had while we were in the planning stage. Once we were there he was equally helpful, making himself available every morning to help us with our plans for the day. His mother prepares a lovely Italian breakfast of beautifully fresh baked cakes, along with yogurt and cereal. We had the pleasure of having a dinner prepared by Giacomo. It was amazing and remains a hilight of our trip. We liked the fact that although Le Caggiole feels like you are way out in the countryside you are not far from a main road. It is in a great location if you are looking to do Rick Steves Heart of Tuscany tour. The private parking area was also a plus. We used this as a base for a four night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The views are beautiful!
Giacomo and Christiana are such amazing host. The farm is beautiful and rich with olive groves and history. The room was very comfortable. Just minutes from downtown Montepulciano. The cooking class was so thorough and the food was amazing. I highly recommend Agriturismo le Caggiole.
