First of all, Hotel Luppo Bianco's location is perfect, it is next to the ski lift, so you don't have to take the car or bus. The hotel has also parking available for every car.
The rooms were cozy, the every day cleaning service was professional, there was space to place everything. The dinner was delicious with traditional Italian dishes every night. Unfortunately, the breakfast is the contrast as it is awful, a positive aspect being that you can make your own fresh fruit juice every morning, but it lacks variety and healthiness. The staff was very kind to us, almost every time.
Regarding the SPA, the swimming pool is small, but you have 3 types of sauna and you also have the possibility for requiring other services, like massage.
Every room has a separate, locked ski deposit.
Overall, I hardly give 5 stars for a hotel, but this time I can do it. I highly recommend the Luppo Bianco as well as the whole Val Gardena ski resort, which is the best ski resort in Europe for a reason.
PS: Some useful tips for the hotel management: you should put a warning sign on the cross wood pillar in the room number 225, because we hit, at least, 20 times our head in it during the stay. One garbage can in the toilet is not enough, would be great to put one in the living room, too. As a problem in every hotel, the hairdryer must be changed. The entry doors of the rooms are not closing as they should, which is really annoying. One last thing, the website of the hotel should be updated, because there is no sign about the three saunas. As we are really looking forward to return to your hotel in the summer, would be nice to see these minor improvements.
We (two adults and daughter 7y.) just arrived back home from a great week in Val di Fasso. It was a first time for us in this area and the whole stay overexceded our expectations. Main reason for this positive impression was the hotel Lupo Bianco which is located right next to the two main ski-lifts, we used it to get ourselves to the Belvedere ski-area.
We booked a spacious room (nr300) with a jacuzzi and a seperate bedroom. The room was meticulously clean, warm and had a nice serene view of a ski-slope and forest. But what really impressed us most was the delicious, home-made Italian food. Everyday was a feast of local tastes of the highest quality. Service was professional and friendly in a personal way, many hotels and restaurants can take an example.
Late in the afternoon we enjoyed ourselves in the spa-area. A nice compact pool with all amenities and several sauna's to choose from, the sensation-shower with mint-treatment was relaxational. Fresh fruit, tea is complementary.
We had a great stay and look back on a great ski-holiday and can recommend this hotel for a 100%.
This hotel is a perfect for any hiker climber looking for a great location with a fantastic hotel to come back to each night. We (Americans) spent 2 wonderfull weeks here with not a single complaint. The entire hotel staff was very friendly and always willing to help out in any way then can.
Meals: The breakfasts start at 7:30 (a little earlier would be nice when one has a long dahy planned), and offer a great buffet style selection of typical Austrian/Italian foods, including cereals, breads, fruits and great coffee.
The Dinners were amazing and offer a selection only seen in very expensive american restaurants. The meals starts with appetizers (a very wide selection, that could be a meal unto itself), followed by a pasta dish (that my wife and I usually shared so we had room for the main course). The main course had three choices with a selection of meats that were of so good a quality that they truely melted in your mouth. The meal was then followed by an incredible desert. The hotel has a very nice selection of wines, either by the glass, or they bottle, which can be spread out over two days.
The room was more than could be hoped for, we selected the Jr Suite, which was very large in all respects and had plenty of room to spread out, and relax, and included a Jacuzzi tub in a glass room, with an beautiful mural on the wall. Our room had a great view of the lake, and a smaller upper window that looked right up at the Probeckor climbing route, perfect of gazing up at from the bed.
The wellness center was amazing, great warm pool, amazing sauna areas and sitting rooms - truely lives up to the hotels promises on the web site.
The only downside to the hotel (and only if you consider it one), is that the hotel is outside of town, and thus does require a car in the summer time- -but is so perfect an oasis to come back to, that we loved the location.
We love skiing Sella Ronda and last 2 years, when we were skiing next to Lupo Bianco, we were impressed by it's position and said to go their for our next vacation. However, when we checked, it was always full. So, for this winter season, we reserved months and months in advance. And it paid off. Location is absolutely perfect. 2 ski lifts next to the hotel, leading into both Sella circles- orange and green. A true ski in&out hotel. Further more, since we did ski all the slopes, this part and the part of Alta Badia we love the most. From every window in the hotel, you have the view to the slopes and the forest.
Rooms are comfortable, eco furnished. We read that Wi-Fi is not available in rooms, but in our room 220 it was working perfectly. Stuff is both proffessional and friendly. Indoor pool with whirpool was a great experince after the cold day out. There is also great spa with always fresh tea and fruit. Welness working hours are longer that in other hotels.
Breakfast is good - all that you need. You can ask for specially prepared eggs if you dont like the already prepared ones. Fresh orange juice is also available for free.
Dinner consists of 2 dishes - few choices you decide that morning and a desert. Always available choices of white, red meat or fish meals. The recipes are local with domestic ingredients. Pasta is home made and amasing! Portions are huge and very often just "primo piatto" was enough. Wine list is good with suprisingly low prices.
To contribute to the hotel's further upgrade, I would suggest to improve the salad bar in order to mach the rest of the food offer.
Last day we even got nice presents from the hotel management.
We had an amasing ski holiday staying in Lupo Bianco and we will be coming back for sure.
This hotel has its downsides, and I'll start with those: the complimentary wifi signal was barely usable from our room, the hotel is a bit of a drive to the town of Canazei itself. The plus side of the hotel being a bit out of town is that the view is incredible. There is a pond with a few geese right across the road, we had a great mountain view from the room and balcony, and a nice view of the surrounding forest from the restaurant. The staff was super friendly. The pool area was very nice - it had plenty of water jets and various areas for adults to relax, but our 2 year-old daughter very much enjoyed swimming there. The pool also includes an area where you can activate a strong current to swim against for exercise. Breakfast was very good with a very nice selection of food, and we also had dinner twice at the restaurant, which was also very delicious.
