I arrived a little early, but that didn`t present any problems. Home from home. Excellent room with very clean and well equipped bathroom. Very, very good location if you have an early ferry to catch...still time for breakfast!
Stayed in this charming guest house whilst in Poole visiting family. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. Our room was very clean, bed comfortable and on a whole had everything we needed. Breakfast was really tasty, and Karen (Our lovely hostess) even provided a gluten free breakfast for my coeliac hubby. Really can't say anything negative about this lovely B and B, Karen and Stafford, see you next time we visit the family, kind regards, Sam and John.
The double ensuite room was clean, comfortable and quiet at the back of the house overlooking the garden. Whilst the room was not huge it did contain pretty much everything you would expect and more besides. The owners were very friendly and helpful with good local knowledge etc. which is aways good as we were there for pleasure and exploring the surrounding area for the first time. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. It was cooked to order and very prompt , everything was very calm and relaxed. Location wise its an easy 25 mins walk from Poole Quay and about 15 to 20 mins walk from the Ferry / Cruise terminal which makes this place perfect for a stay prior to a cruise or ferry jolly.
We were very pleased with the parking space on the premises which made it convenient for us. The hosts were friendly and courteous and the room, although small had an on suite shower with good quality towels and amenities. The place was spotlessly clean throughout and well maintained. Our gripe is that the bed was very small for a double bed and creaked so did not make for a comfortable sleep. We paid £80 for the room via booking.com and expected breakfast to be included but was told we had to pay £ 5 extra each for a cooked breakfast. We can usually manage with a continental breakfast but there was not much on offer. Only some small jars of uninteresting looking cereals, and toast with jam or marmalade. No fruits or yoghurts or any other goodies that you normally expect. The cooked breakfast which added £10 to our bill was nicely cooked and well presented but nothing special.
A friendly welcome from owners Karen and Stafford. My room was clean comfy and quiet at the back of the house. Nice size room with it's own bathroom with a shower. Window opened to help keep the room cool during a very hot spell of weather.
The breakfast good with plenty of choice over my four night stay. All served prompt and with a smile. Made for a good start to my busy days helping my cousin out and looking after her little girl.
Use of the lovely back garden to sit in on my request. Would certainly aim to stay at Sam Michele again.
Karen very helpful and kind in helping me.
