I reserved a room at this guesthouse due to its proximity to the airport for the night before I was due to fly home. When I arrived in the evening, the young lady at the front desk was very apologetic due to the fact that a power outage the night before had evidently erased their reservation records. I provided a verification of my reservation and was told it would be a short while for my room. She then began to apologize that my room was very basic. I have stayed at a lot of bed and breakfasts, so I was under the impression that this was a similar facility due to its name. It was far from what I was expecting. The room was noisy and very dated, the bed wasn't comfortable, the air-conditioning was faulty and the shower was tiny. I'm a slender man, but it was a tight fit in the shower for me and I was banging my elbows, etc. inside of it. I recall that I was offered a drink upon check-in due to the delay, so I had a beer in the bar. It was warm. When I went for breakfast, it was being served in the bar/lounge area. I didn't see anybody other than a few guests there. After more than ten minutes, some of the staff came out from the kitchen to deliver breakfast items to some of the guests. They apologized for the delay in getting their food out. I knew that there were others ahead of me, so I decided to leave because I wanted to get to the airport by a certain time and I was under the impression that it would take a long time for food to arrive. Overall, this is a poor place to stay. It may be convenient to the airport, but I wish that I had stayed somewhere else, that's for sure. The only positive thing that I can say is that the young lady who checked me in was a star and should be working in a far nicer hotel.
