We stayed at Villa Corte Delle for our honeymoon in August 2015. The views are as spectacular as the photos suggest, and we spent many an evening admiring the beautiful sunsets, with a glass of prosecco in hand. The pool is a very good size and like the house itself, is spotlessly clean. The villa is run by a family that lives in the villa behind this one. They could not be more helpful or hospitable. There's even a small restaurant, providing excellent food if you fancy a night off the cooking. There are a couple of small towns close by, and Florence is an hour or so on the train. Be sure not to miss lunch at the Avignonesi winery at Montepulciano, which is just a short car ride away.

What more can we say than absolutely fantastic. We took our family of 6 for a 3 week vacation to Italy. Week one was in Tuscany and without a doubt the highlight of the trip. Sitting atop a hill in a very picturesque Tuscan countryside, you just can't imagine the beauty that welcomes you. By day, a wonderful panoramic view of agriculture, small towns and sunflowers, by night the small hill side towns that light up are fantastic. Once you move into the villa, you are welcomed by beautiful wood beams, and rustic but modern amenities. The upstairs bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the countryside and is an unbelievable touch to a perfect experience. The downstairs rooms are private with their own private bathrooms, also very rustic, but modern. The family that runs the villa is genuine, hospitable and very kind. They made a point to visit every day to see if all was ok and many times with fantastic gifts of locally known, home made pastry, or their wine made from the surrounding vineyards. Each morning they also cleaned the pool keeping it perfectly clean and clear the whole time we were there. Getting around is very easy, there are stores available and fresh markets daily depending on where you want to go. We made Foiano Della Chaina our location for local grocery stores. Sienna, Firenze, Cortona are all within a reasonable drive as are some very nice small and quaint towns if you want to feel the Tuscan culture. For our family, the relaxation and completely 100% private villa was an experience we hope you will enjoy as well.

We stayed here in late September and arrived just after the fields of sunflowers had been harvested. The view from the villa is spectacular. There are olive trees, cypress, vineyards on the property and you can see all the way to the many small towns in the distance. The pool area was beautiful and the owners were out cleaning the pool every morning. It was pristine. We barbecued and had a picnic on the table outside. Catia and her beautiful daughter brought us a bottle of wine and olive oil that were both made there on the property. They also brought us a lovely apple cake one evening. Other than that they stayed away and let us thoroughly enjoy the property. There was a local baker that delivered bread and baked goods. The villa itself had lovely large bedrooms with comfortable beds and bathrooms. The living area and kitchen were small but comfortable and there was a fantastic espresso machine which we made good use of. There were 3 couples in our group and we had plenty of room. This was a perfect home base for visiting other towns throughout Tuscany.

We stayed here for just over two weeks in the Summer and we can't recommend it highly enough. The villa is modern and well kitted out inside and the pool is as inviting and luxurious as it looks! The villa is close to plenty of cities to take day trips or you can spend you days enjoying the Tuscan scenery and lazing by the pool. We enjoyed wonderful hospitality by the owners who live behind the villa (although entirely separated so you are very much in your private home). Would be ideal for a family or group of friends looking for somewhere to catch up and relax.
