Tony, the owner, was great, very welcoming and helpful. We had a welcome drink in the bar and the next morning breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Tony made sure we had all we could eat and drink. The B&B is next to the cable car which takes you on up the mountain for a walk around the alpine meadow or slightly more strenuous climbing. A climb up to the top is worthwhile if only for the satisfaction of doing it.
The room lacked aircon so we had to leave the room doors open at night onto the veranda. This was not a problem on the Thursday but Friday night attracted lots of young people to the car park outside and it was very noisy until just after midnight. Lots of shouting and motorbike revving.
That said we enjoyed our stay which was excellent value.

Driving up the hill to the B+B the GPS says that you have arrived at your destination when in fact at this poin you have no buildings around you. Do not worry, drive a few meters more up the hill and you come to an open area with the B+B facing you right opposite. The owner Anotnio greeted us and made us welcome at his Cafe on the ground floor. He then took our luggage upstairs as there is no lift and showed us to our room. A very spacious, tidy looking and very clean room with private facilities and air conditioning. Just what we had asked for. After making ourselves comfortable, we went back down to the shop. Antonio explained about the area and recommended some restaurants to go to. He gave us a good introduction into the places of interest handing out a couple of maps of the city and the lagos'. Antonio who runs this business together with his charming wife is a very pleasant person who goes out of his way to ensure that his guests are getting excellent value for money. The daily breakfast was plenty and although not the English type with eggs and bacon, still we had lots of different pastries, toast, juices, coffee of any kind etc. Every day Antonio even gave us complementary pastries to take with us for our car journey.
We had rented a car from Italy and this gave us total freedom of moving around at our own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car but please ensure that you have the driver's licence, the passport and the credit card (not debit card) all in the driver's name. This is serious because the Italians do not budge on this issue.
The mountain view and the sun rising were beautiful early morning. To be able to sit out on the balcony and just admire nature is so healthy particularly when you come from as small island like Malta which is grossly overcrowded with both people and cars.
Highly recommended to people of all ages, whether alone or with spouse or even a group. Plenty of free parking space. Antonio, we will come back.

The host went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable - offered a free welcome tea/beer to the room, maps and leaflets about the area and even spoke quite a few words in our native language :) Clean and spacy room. Great breakfast. B&B is right next to the cable car - it's a great place to start or end a hike.

Tony, the proprietor was very helpful and welcoming and spoke excellent english. There was plenty to eat at breakfast and all hot drinks were complimentary during our stay. The room was kept immaculate by his wife Renata. The free Wi Fi was a great bonus too....Mountain view from the room was stunning.....We could want for nothing.....Thank you!
