I stayed in this B&B for 2 nights in the end of September. The room was just amazing. Very cosy and light, with good WiFi connection and a small TV. In the room there were all facilities and food for breakfast (food was refilled every day), among them coffee (in capsules), tea, cake, milk, juice, toasts with different jams and some other snacks. Bathroom was spacious and clean, as well as the whole room. Only two small shortcomings of the B&B were weak soundproofing system and the necessity to preconcert your arrival time in advance (because of train delays I arrived later, so had to wait for some time at the entrance). Also if you arrive by train, you would need to take a taxi, the B&B is pretty far away from the train station. For those who arrive by car there are parking slots at the B&B territory.
To get to the city centre you would need to walk for around 30 minutes up the hill, which is pretty steep at the beginning. However, you can enjoy panoramic views during your walk. Close to the Il Melograno great restaurant Osteria Al Gigianca is situated.
After one night stay at Il Melograno, I would say this B&B offers all you need for a comfortable accomodation: a cozy room with fresh linens, tasty self service continental breakfast, fast internet wireless, a large bathroom with toiletries and secure parking.
Beatrice, the owner of Il Melograno, has provided us valuable turism information about Bergamo. All in all, Il Melograno is a quaint B&B with lots of value for turists. Highly recommended!!
We had such a lovely stay at Il Melograno. Beautiful, clean room with great coffee and nice breakfast, great location: beautiful walk to the old city. Beatrice is very welcoming and warm. We'd surely stay there again if we'd return to Bergamo in the future!

This B&B is a great value for the price. We had the room with the bathroom ensuite which was quiet and clean. It is a beautiful walk to go to Cita Alta, but only under good weather conditions. Unfortunately, we were there during a 40c + heat wave and therefore it was not a pleasant walk.
After the second day we found out it was possible to drive up and park the car (the city map helped). It is also possible to take the bus to the lower half of Bergamo then get a second bus to the lift which links the lower and higher Bergamo. The shade in the garden and private parking were a bonus.
