Our second time here in 8 years. La Faula offers very comfortable accommodation and great food and wine. It is ideal for couples or families. Close to old Udine, Cividale del Friuli, the Prealpi Giulie - and indeed Slovenia - so there is plenty to do if the tranquil location, golf course, playful dogs and swimming pool don't fill your time. Luca and Paul look after you very well.

I have visited La Faula many times and still insist this is the best Agritourismo in Friuli. Paul and Luca continue to deliver a great service and good value. The food gets better and better and that's the breakfast and equally the evening meal. The ambiance in the evening under the pergola is very special. The pool and surrounds a great place to relax

We spent 6 nights at la Faula just before and after the Feragosto holiday period and were delighted to be able to find such tranquil, friendly surroundings, hosted by the the talented and good humoured Paul and Luca. The old farmhouse offers many accommodation possibilities and we were delighted with our spacious and very peaceful room, overlooking the back of the property. Spotlessly clean, a very informal and friendly atmosphere, with everything available (wine, coffee, beer, tea etc) on a self service/trust basis. Very much appreciated. Paul and Luca are attentive and helpful hosts, but never invasive or interfering. We drank the last of very drinkable organic wine they produce (global warming has forced them to abandon their wine-making activities!) and enjoyed fine, mostly vegetarian cuisine. The dining area under the vast pergola is a delight. Service and food quality were top class (thanks to Orly and David for their charming and efficient work) and everything went on in a most friendly and informal fashion. Many of the visitors were returning clients, always a good sign!
Well-situated for visiting the region - Paul and Luca are a mine of information for walks and all sorts of activities - we were also able to enjoy lots of far niente at the pool-side or just wandering around the paths and lanes near the property. Definitely be back if we are in Friuli again.

This was our third visit to La Faula and once again it was the perfect place to relax and recover from a stressed and strenuous period of work. Paul and Luca are wonderful hosts working so hard to give their guests a great time especially with the delicious food served under their pergola which is a beautiful spot to spend a warm evening. As always the children loved it including of course all the dogs though it was sad to hear Fritz had died since our last visit. Lazing by the pool was enough for several of our days but there are good trips out near and far: to the Corneppo and Nadiza rivers to swim, Kobarid in Slovenia and the beautiful Laghe di Fusini near the border with Austria - remember you need the vignette if you cross the border. We can all unreservedly
recommend la Faula and the hospitality on offer there - as we left the children said: "please can we come back next year?".

Stopped in one of the Bungalows at the Agriturismo which was very clean and comfortable. We ate in most nights and the food was fantastic. Paul and Luca were fantastic hosts and made evening meals great fun by engaging everyone in conversation. The three courses served each evening are beautifully cooked and there is always the option of a Second (or even third helping!!) Drinks were easy as there is an honesty bar (had I really drunk that much wine by the end of the week!)
This is a great base to explore North eastern Italy with lots of places to visit including quick trips into Slovenia. Paul and Luce were great with ideas for a day out.
The swimming pool is fantastic.
Finally you can't talk about La Faula without mentioning the 5 Border Collies who are all gorgeous - just be careful with Hector when you open a bottle of prosecco.
