We chose this hotel as part of a week long Jet2 holiday to Sorrento.
Reading the reviews, and comparing the other hotels available, we chose the one we could comfortably afford.
On arrival in Sorrento on our coach transfer, we were told that the coach could not get into the narrow one way street, so were transferred to a taxi.
In fact the hotel is just a few feet from the main road, so we could easily have walked it even with our luggage.
There are a number of wide marble steps up to the hotel and reception, but there is also an underground car park served by the lift, so I am guessing that if the few steps proved difficult, there is another way in.

The lobby looks opulent, with glass walls and marble flooring, and the reception staff we engaged with were all very helpful. The tourist tax was explained to us, as well as the hire of towels for the pool, and the TV remote. I guess they have lost a few in the past to light fingered guests, and have found an easy solution!
Our room was large and spacious, with a bathroom containing a powerful shower, sink and plenty of towels and toiletries.
We also had a balcony which had partial views of the Bay of Naples, and the swimming pool, which is outdoors, and at the front of the hotel, high up above the street, where it catches the sun.
Loungers are provided, as well as an adjacent outdoor bar.

In our room, there were electrically powered shutters over the window/balcony door, providing shade during the day, and security and insulation at night.
Our room was air conditioned, and we slept well throughout our stay.
There were plenty of sockets for electronic devices etc., and our room was kept clean throughout the stay.
The best feature of the hotel is the rooftop terrace with it's views over the whole of the Bay, Vesuvius,Naples and the island of Ischia.
There is a bar on the roof which is opened at busy times - which was not every night of our week long stay in October. However there was a telephone which connected to the downstairs bar.
We ate our evening meal in the hotel twice, which was not expensive, and a menu is posted up daily so you can choose whether to eat in or out early in the day.
The breakfast choice was extensive and even after a weeks stay I had not managed to try everything that was on offer!

If you wish to eat out, there is a huge choice in Sorrento, some being just yards from the hotel. The restaurant across the road is incredibly popular, with long queues forming soon after opening! When we managed to eat there one night, we felt it well worth the wait!

This hotel is ideally suited to explore Sorrento in several directions, it is close to the bus and railway station, and on a bus route should you wish to venture further afield.
We took the train to Pompeii AND Herculaneum, and the bus to Revello, via Amalfi and Positano. We enjoyed this so much, the following day we took the boat trip to Amalfi, which also calls in at Positano, with a time at each to explore.
We walked into town several times, only once after a days excursion resorting to a taxi.
Once again the staff were able to advise where to visit and how to get there.

This hotel was the highlight of my stay in Italy. Across Naples, Sorrento and Florence, this hotel stuck out like a sore thumb - but in a good way! The staff were lovely people, and there are ample numbers of restaurants all around. It is a 10 minute walk from the town, which has bundles of shops to go and spend days in. The pool was freezing, and it was closed for half the time I was there, but it was refreshing and great fun. One problem I had with the pool was that they gave us towels for the pool, then the next day told us it was closed; I would have preferred if they had told us from the outset that it wouldn’t be open, so that I could have spent more time in the pool. Overall, this hotel is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I would recommend that anyone who spends a holiday in Italy should stay here for a few days. Simply amazing.

Great hotel, spacious with great balcony. Breakfast was very sparse and struggled to get a banana to have with cereal. Tea machine left a white froth in the cup as the water wasn’t hot enough.

Housekeeping were really good and although the pool was closed due to not having a life guard on duty our children were allowed in as long as we stayed with them.

This is the first time we have stayed in this hotel and the staff were just lovely. Very helpful and always greeted us when we were coming in and out of the hotel. We had a room on the first floor which was very clean. It had a double bed, a day bed, a fridge, good sized wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables and the lighting was excellent. There was also a USB socket and flat screen tv. We had a room with a large terrace which over looked the swimming pool. The bathroom was a little dated but perfectly functional. The hotel provided shampoo and shower caps.
The dining staff were fabulous and the food was fresh and tasty. Dinner consisted of antipasto ( self-serve ) starter (4 or 5 choices, main course (4 or 5 choices ) and a sweet - cake or fruit. There was always pasta, soup, meat, fish and vegetarian options.
There was a large choice at breakfast including cold meats, cheese, tomatoes, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, pastries, rolls, bread, yoghurts, fruit, jams, coffees, teas and fruit juice.
There is a roof top terrace which gave lovely views over the bay and a lift.
The hotel is close to the centre of the town ( about a 10 minute walk) and close to the railway station.
We would be happy to use this hotel again.

First of all I would like to thank the staff at Zi Terssa for making us feel so welcome.
This hotel is perfectly situated for access to supermarkets, train station (5 minutes) and piazza Tasso (10 mins) the check in was easy and fast , we headed up to the 3 rd floor to our room above the pool ,slight view of the sea , the rooms are large and comfortable and the level of cleanliness in this hotel is exceptional, our bed was comfy and large flat screen tv was great , the rooms have electric shutters aswell, and the aircon was a blessing as it was very hot , ask for your safe key at reception it’s free.
The maid cleaned the room , made beds and towels changed daily .
Breakfast is buffet style which my wife and I really enjoyed cold cuts , cheese, toast , scrambled eggs , bacon , fruits , cereal something to suit everyone. If you are half board you choose your evening meal at breakfast 4 choice per course , the evening meals are just incredible as are the waiters the service was outstanding so friendly and welcoming, you pay for all drinks at the end of your stay so relax and enjoy your wine each evening if you don’t drink it all it will be chilled and waiting for you the next evening, the pool area is small but well maintained and the roof bar was excellent ,some lovely cocktails made by the very friendly bar man , a gem of a hotel I highly recommend.
