We spent a week at this lovely B&B in July. We stayed in the medieval room. The room and building felt very french Chateau, it was exactly the french vibe we were looking for. It was 34 degrees so the air conditioning and lovely pool was perfect. As there are only four rooms, it doesn't get too busy at the pool. Some days there was only me and my partner at the pool. The accommodation is in an excellent location with the medieval cite, the La Bastide Saint-Louis and train station all within walking distance. The host Carole and her lovely natured dog Cashew created a homely, welcoming environment. The coffee and eggs at breakfast set us up for the day. We can definitely recommend this place, it is value for money. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to the beautiful Carcassonne.

Carole is a great host, very warm and friendly. The B&B is very clean and modern with a swimming pool and perfectly situated for the medieval city and the town. Each only a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast here is very good, amazing scambled eggs. Would definately recommend. Ideal for families, couples and people with pets. Parks for dog walking nearby.

Room Tip: A small B&B, so not noisy. A homely feel. Rooms of a good size and very clean.

Taking a few days away in Carcassonne we stayed at Les Palmiers De La Cite. What a wonderful place. On the edge of the old medieval city walls, it’s a peaceful retreat. Carole (the owner) made us welcome with a pretty room overlooking the pool. It had all the necessary requirements including air conditioning ( which was needed with 84 degrees). The pool has plenty of seating space and a covered area if the weather gets too hot.
Breakfast is continental with the usual bread and jams. Carole will also serve eggs if required.
Having been given a list of restaurants we tried 2 from the list and Carole made the bookings for us.
In the evening you can sit on the terrace and have drinks (payable) before wandering into Carcassonne town or up to the old city.
Carole is a fabulous host with so much knowledge about the area and getting the best out of your stay.
It’s a home from home and we will return again next year.

The owner, Carol, is a stylish and intelligent woman who seemed to change without problem between languages for her guests. We heard her chatting in French, Spanish and English very easily.
Id have loved more time here as the gardens looked good for relaxing in - outside tables and open air swimming pool. I came down with a cold so couldn’t make the most of them.
Our bedroom was comfortable and had extra seating. WiFi was good, plenty of signal. Bathroom beautifully fitted out and modern, as others have mentioned. Parking secure within the property grounds, behind gates with pin code access. We would definitely stay there again if we returned to Carcassonne
