I booked this hotel for one night before and one night after flights from/to Gatwick to/from my holiday destination in Barbados. Due to European governments advising against all non essential travel on the evening of Tuesday March 17th, because of the Covid-19 outbreak, I only used my first reservation, because after this advise, I cancelled my trip to Barbados the next day and flew home. The reservation after my return flight on the 27th, was refunded without problems, even though this originally was a non-refundable booking. The hotel is in a great location, a five minute walk from the South Terminal. The check-in was very fast with friendly and professional staff. The room was large and comfortable with an excellent bed and shower. Room and bathroom were very clean. If you don't want to eat in the hotel or pay the outrageous prices from outlets at the airport, you can walk to Horley in less than 30 minutes. I ate in the Wetherspoon there and paid only 50% of the prices that were charged in the Wetherspoon in the terminal for the same meal and pint. The hotel itself has a nice bar. Of course a bit expensive, since this is a Hilton, but for £6.50 they had a great IPA on draught. A nice gym to keep in shape and burn the calories of the meal and beer the next day. In the business centre, I could easily change my travel plans and flights. Check-out was very efficient at well. And the rate paid was less than £100 a night. When the world is back to normal and we can travel again, I will certainly use this hotel again. This hotel can be highly recommended because of it's location and services.
