Our 2nd stay at the Buckatree and couldn't fault it. Our room was spotless and the bed was comfy. No noise at night and we slept very well. Had dinner one night at the hotel and the six of us all thought the food was excellent. Breakfast was buffet style with a server getting what you wanted, again everything was great. Great value break with the river cruise included. Would definitely return.

We stayed there for a night. Staff members are very nice and helpful. Our room balcony overlooked a lake which is within the premises. It was a delight to have our dinner and morning tea thete while watching the fishes swim in tje lake and see the greenery all around. We had lovely breakfast outside in the patio. Lots of walking trails in Wrekin forest, just opposite to the hotel. Please carry your walking shoes with you. Thoroughly enjoyable and would strongly recommend.

Stayed here for hubby's 65th birthday on a 2 day deal with sabrina river cruise.lovely location Hotel very clean but a bit tired !!! ovely balcony overlooking pond and nice scenic views, but would of benefited from a clean and a tree was growing out of the grid. Not in walking distance to any local restaurants, pubs but a short drive away !!! If you like a nice long walk then it is ideal. All the staff were pleasant and courteous and very busy at all times but there was just not enough of them to cater for the amount staying although hotel knew they had a busy weekend ahead as we were called before our stay to this effect and asked to book our meal time slots which was not a problem .Per covid regulations in bar as we fully understood drinks have to be ordered whilst seated, ourselves and several other guests ended up leaving the bar as in a period of 1 hour and a half we only managed to get 1 drink as the girls were so busy having to also serve drinks to people dining in restaurant running back and forth, not their fault.Did not like attitude of Genral manager
Maybe caught him on an off day,but should not effect his professionalism, we had reported on day of arrival we had no heating in our room it was not a problem in the day but became chilly early evening when we were wanting to shower managed to get a portable electric heater later that night,on asking next morning for update on heating General manager came over and informed us that heating was not on now anyway..tried to explain it was cold in bathroom of an evening he said put heater in front of bathroom door to direct heat into bathroom told him heater only had short cable and no plug near bathroom he just walked away,no one spoke to us again about the heating !! we spoke to another 2 other couples who also found him to be a bit offhand with them also.

Dear Denise, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am thrilled to hear your acknowledgement of the great staff we have at the hotel. Disappointingly however you have not caught myself at my best and I apologise. There are no excuses and I really hope you will come back to give me a second chance at 'warming you over' (no pun intended). Kind regards,

Dear Joy, Please contact the hotel directly for full information regarding room descriptions. Single rooms are classed as standard and do not have the same views as our superior rooms. The views are over the car park and surrounding fields, not the lake or gardens. Regards,

Hi Donna, I really think you should take reviews with a pinch of salt as we cannot be all things to everyone. To put things in context we consistently rank in the top 6 of all Telford properties, if you exclude limited service hotels such as Premier Inn, then the top 3. We always try our very best to please everyone and are disappointed when this is not the case. Your wowcher offer is for a superior room type. We are un able to guarantee a specific view or promise we wont have a full car park with vehicles interrupting said view. However, if you contact me at the hotel directly. I assure you we will review your booking. Your dinner reservation can be made either in advance or when you arrive at the hotel. Kind regards, Wayne Jenson General Manager
