Again here for the fourth summer in a row. I like it here. Looked forward to this overnight stay with savory food and hoist from barrels. Friendly staff with that little extra personal.
The rooms are neat and quite spacious. Then it's a bonus to sit in the garden and look at the stork in his nest. Some alpacas, ponys and emu stroll around the garden. Broken mix that goes together. Popular kitchen because it was almost fully booked in the evening. Tasted a new favorite for breakfast, zweibelmettwurst.
The room rate is very affordable for what you get.
Will definitely be back.
On arrival reception was efficient but not particularly friendly. Room and bathroom were large and airy and very clean. Decor is quite dated in guest room. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and without fault. Local area and canal were charming.
We stayed one night in the hotel after arriving by boat to Trawemünde late in he night and continued our travel after one night. The Hotel is recently renovated, has really nice interior and location with an own splendid garden. Service was very good indeed, breakfast was served in a nice restaurant with several nice rooms, each of them nicely furnished. Breakfast was excellent, something that you don't get in a bigger hotel, just a family driven hotel can make it so perfect - fresh and first quality. Our room was very comfortable, clean and big. The bathroom was clean and well equipped with everything you need. There are enough parking places in front of the hotel.
We went here late to look for free rooms and an old lady with her daughter were working there. I asked about two double rooms but they had only one. We managed to make a deal for one double room to be used by 4 persons with extra bed and pay as 2 double rooms. Although expensive we accepted. I went to repark the car and get the luggage and the old lady just locked the hotel. We were nocking there with our girlfriends and we could see somebody moving inside but nobody opened. They left us on the street after making a deal. Disgusting.
Our experience relates to the room only since we had dinner elsewhere and left before breakfast. While this small hotel was pleasant enough, with its inquisitive Alpaca, small goats and somewhat anti-social emu in a field at the rear of the hotel, a family of 4 might not experience the same space as offered in other hotels at this price (145 EUR per night without breakfast). Our 'quadruple' room (as described by Booking.com) was a small double room with the two single sofa beds. When these were converted into beds there was essentially no space remaining. So, not really suitable for anything but a quick stopover if you are more than two persons. The staff were very helpful and professional with the extra beds (not made up when we arrived) and quickly provided an iron when requested. It may be that larger rooms were possible but we were not given that option so it might be worth checking in advance. I am not sure we would stay here again but for a 3-star hotel it was just about acceptable. We would suggest looking at other reviews for restaurant opinions.
