The word Hotel does not apply to this place. Here during COVID and discovered bathrooms are shared. Greeted by creepy men chain smoking at front door ...Entrance is so narrow you must pass at a 2 foot distance From smoking leering men. Inside another unshaven, disheveled male guest cones within a foot of me and says, hey wait a second and I’ll come help you take your bags to your room 😳. Ummm ... social distance please?? Dirty floors, dried blood on shared bathroom floors. OH, and without telling you? They write your first and last name on a hallway white board along with your room number?? Ummm, hello?? Is this a crackhouse brothel?? Cuz it certainly feels like EXACTLY THAT! OMG!!

My wife and I only spent a day, our last full day, in Saskatoon and this was an ideal place to stay for a single night. The room is quite small but cute as it holds a desk, a wardrobe, and a bed. The staff provide a heater and a fan which helped as it was very hot in the room, although the whole place is air conditioned. There is a communal bathroom which is interesting in the middle of the night, but it is very clean and a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, the one night we stayed there was not a good night for the hostel as the door bell was rung a lot at 4am, but I received a text message apologizing for the disturbances the next day, which was very sweet and very good by the hostel staff. It is used as a place to stay when visiting someone at the hospital as it is very close and also very cheap, another reason it was chosen by my wife and I to stay for the one night. Overall, I would recommend a stay at this hostel.
For someone who is looking for good value in Saskatoon, look no further! I had to go to Saskatoon to be with a family member who was getting surgery, and I was so thankful to find someplace so close to the hospitals, as well as to the downtown.
I was very impressed with the cleanliness....no wonder....I saw their (very friendly) staff cleaning multiple times throughout the day. I would venture to say that this was one of the cleanest lodging establishments I have ever stayed at.
The kitchen/living room combination was very comfortable...the kitchen was fully equipped, with beautiful newer appliances, with plenty of space to store my food. The couches were comfortable and the whole living area had a really "homey" feel.
The staff appeared to be well chosen, as they were all very friendly and accommodating. I felt that they all took "ownership" of the business.
I would highly recommend this place for students (close to the university), hospital visitors, as well as tourists and business people....very well located and it's so nice to be able to not have to rely on restaurants...a real money saver with respect to room price as well as with respect to being able to provide your own food.
I would not hesitate to stay here again if the need arises.
I commend the owners for their very well run business! Bravo!
Located just outside of downtown Saskatoon, Laura's Lodge offers up a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Keep in mind it's shared accomadations. Your bathroom/shower, common room and kitchen are all shared. There are also laundry facilities available at Laura's Lodge. There are a number of signs outlining a lot of rules, but I think it's a good thing considering the type of environment this Lodge is. The most important thing for me was that this place was clean! Everywhere was clean and the service was friendly with a willingness to offer insight on the areas around. Parking is free, but limited. Laura's Lodge is for the frugal traveller, or people that are staying for those in a nearby hospital. Definitely not for parties and that like here, I'd keep that in mind. Laura's Lodge is a solid 4!
