The reviews and ratings here on Tripadvisor lead us to Casita de Maya and once again the reviews were so right. We booked the Ocean room and it was large and spacious and beautifully decorated. So comfortable and kept so clean. Dan is the man! Easy going and helpful, approachable, and a real pleasure to stay with. Casita is a small bungalow setting tucked away in a residential area right across from the airport- we literally walked out and down to the round about to get checked in. Granted this not typical tourist- its for the traveler instead. We ended up needing to extend our stay and it was no problem. Dan also hooked us up with an awesome fun six-speed convertible jeep rental with his buddies at Blueway. All and all, we WILL be staying there again. See you soon Dan!

The perfect getaway for first timers to Cozumel. Cozy, comfortable, clean and convenient. We had the upstairs King room it was spacious, a/c worked well, nice TV and refrigerator. Dan organized a rental car for us all the paper work was done on site no worries.

The food prepared here exceeded my expectations - beans, egg's, fresh tortillas, guacamole, chips, beer - excellent.

We stayed here for 3 days then moved to the Palace. I wish we stayed here for the duration of our vacation - We made many friends and all the best to the staff.

Everything about Casita De Maya is right! Been to Cozumel several times over the years, and stayed in several different places. Nothing compares to the service at Casita. Hands down. Dan took care of all our needs. Daniel's food and service is excellent, and Jolie kept our room spotless. It truly is my own little slice of Heaven! Stay here. I promise you won't regret it!

In planning our trip to Cozumel, we debated on whether to stay at an all inclusive resort or an intimate boutique hotel. As it happened, we spent the first half of our vacation in Cozumel at the charming Casita de Maya and the second half at Cozumel's top rated all inclusive resort. Although the large hotel was nice, we preferred the charm and service of Casita de Maya..........hands down!! The accommodations at Casita de Maya were perfectly lovely and impeccably clean. The proprietor, Dan, along with Daniel, Yoli, Eduardo, and Marcel delight in providing their guests a memorable experience. The architectural design of the hotel itself is aesthetically pleasing. It’s colors are vibrant, true to traditional Mexican culture. The rooms reflect thoughfulness and are well appointed. The water pressure was great! The nights were quiet/perfect for sleeping. The bed was oh so comfortable! The fresh bed linens are achieved not by dryer sheets, but through Yoli’s efforts: laundered then line dried in the sea breeze. She’s a true gem and a real dynamo! The hotel’s proximity to Cozumel’s small international airport and the community of San Miguel is a definite plus! A quick cab ride gets you to the water front with modern shops/the ferry docks/ chain restaurants, etc… Quite often, we took advantage of Casita’s ambiance/hospitality to enjoy delicious authentic food and cocktails prepared fresh and served to us by our new amigo, Daniel, who embodies the gentle nature we came to appreciate in the people of San Miguel. Our host extraordinaire, Dan, provided us with a plethora of information: restaurants, beaches, and cantinas favored by the locals; preferred dive shops, day trips/excursions, local customs, and other fun facts. He offered bicycles; he called for cabs; he even arranged our car rental. Who needs a big resort hotel if there’s room at the Casita de Maya? Dan is an extraordinary host. The real deal. One can easily appreciate why Casita De Maya is the place to stay in Cozumel. Thanks Dan.

My husband and I spent four nights in the king-sized bed room and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the room, Dan (the owner) and our treatment. The bed, pillows and linens were all very comfortable. The amenities in the room were all nice and very homelike. Free calls to the US were a wonderful convenience to us and utilized without problems other than occasionally needing to sit in the courtyard for reception. The location is right across the street from the airport but we never heard a plane. As the location is not downtown, you either have to walk downtown which is a bit of a walk(which we did a couple of days) or ask for a taxi (around $3 US each way).

Dan, the host with the most, is unbelievably attentive and helpful. My husband and I travel quite a bit and we have never had anything close to the type of service we received here, including at fancy resorts. I truly cannot say enough about him! Mention also has to be made of Diego, who runs the restaurant around the corner. Diego was as accomodating of us as Dan. One morning, we needed to leave for diving before Diego even opened so Dan placed an order with him the night before and Diego came in early, made us breakfast and delivered it to our room...again, all before he was even scheduled to open!

This is not a large, fancy resort with restaurants and bars in the lobby. This is a quaint, unpretentious boutique hotel with four guest rooms. If you are looking for resort amenities on site, this is not your place. If, like us, you want a quiet and romantic place where you have a good chance of being the only people in the pool, I cannot recommend this place more. And, if you go, pet Trixie for us!

Good morning, Thank you for your interest in our facility. We do offer a Family Suite option that includes 2 rooms that adjoin to each other. One room has a queen bedroom, and the other had 2 twin beds. A common door separates the two rooms for privacy. The pool is located steps from each room. It's not a deep pool, about 4 1/2 feet deep. The waterfront is about 12 blocks walking distance, and a beautiful beach area is. Short 10 min can ride away. Regards, Dan

The owner of Casita de Maya already answered so all I have to say is, you will love it. Quiet and it feels like home to us. Be sure to pet Freddy our guard dog and try Diego's Tacos one block west. sam y Wendy

Yes we do have exactly that type of room for you and your family. It would be our Deluxe Family Suite, that has a Queen Bedroom attached to a room with 2 twin beds. Each room has its own bath and shower. A/C, etc.

Hello, Yes we are affiliated with Deep Blue Divers here in Cozumel. They have their own pier downtown, which eliminates the need to go to the Harbor way down South. A reservation is highly recommended.
