The best part of the hotel that it is centrally located in Tanah Rata, and within walking distance to a number of recommended restaurants and cafes. This was important as traffic around the area can be quite heavy, thus being able to move around without a car, was an. advantage. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread was simple but ok.
The downsides were: internet connection was poor, It was non existent for the duration of our stay. This is a basic need for most travellers, and the hotel should take steps to upgrade connectivity. I also don't understand the need for a RM200 deposit, when there is no mini-bar and quite minimal amenities in the room.
Overall, a clean comfortable hotel, which is well located.
Bad experience for my 3days 2 nights stay here. Room not cleaned during late check in (full of dust and hair on the floor and tables). Linen not changed prior to check in (stains, moist). Called reception twice requesting for linen change and vacuum the floor but no one seems bothered to attend. Waited 1+hour before decided to go out for dinner and explore Cameron Highlands. Eventually decided to go down to the reception directly to request for linen change. Hotel location is good but poor maintenance and housekeeping. Dont put too much expectation on this hotel. My first and last time booking this hotel.
The hotel offers super views but is near a great range of shops and places to eat. Favorites were the Japanese, genuine tandoori restaurants but the bakeries offered a great chance to pick up yummy packed lunches.
The customer service was fantastic, everyone was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the room very well furnished from iron with ironing board, to kettle and fridge. Rooms are bright and airy the comfortable beds have crisp white cotton bedding.
The breakfast is fabulous, a great range of western, Malay, Chinese cuisine is on offer. Good coffee too! The highlight for me was the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables all locally grown. Each day there was a different spread.
It has a lovely safe courtyard with well maintained play equipment for children
Stayed in the 2-bedroom suite for 2 nights and quite disappointed with
1. Hygiene level in general - the toilets, dusty hall, stained towels and blanket
2. The blind in the smaller room is not light proof and too bright for sleeping (the corridor light is always switched on)
3. Quality of the bed, pillow and toiletries
4. The sofa and sofa pillow cases are scratched
The buffet breakfast is ok and the playground pretty friendly for kids.
Hope the hotel can uplift especially its hygiene level especially during this ‘high alert’ period to give more assurance to the guests. This is our first time and probably the last.
I really disappointed with this hotel services! We have paid what kind of room that we wanted but the hotel manager can tell us the room that we paid (Rm338) is same as (Rm319). The picture showing on Agoda is diffrence type of room and difference price. When we arguing with the manager, she mentioned they only have one type of double bed room suite (Rm319) . The room for Rm319 here actually is one king bed and two single beds. Another one what me paid (Rm338) is consists one king bed and one double bed. That is totally difference rooms between that two form agada. However, that lady manager can told she has no idea why agoda got this kind of room?! she's so funny and getting a serious face! When will click the apps and show her, she still never admitted they have the room that we initially booked. At the end, she asked the staff brought us to the room that come with one king and one double. Another interesting things happened, before entry the room. The staff have to knock the door and mentioned his name!!! Comes on, if you were me, will you want to change room? Is it thr right way to showing a guest that the room they booked? At the end, we took back the wrong room that avillion given without return back the balance for us because the payment is collected by booking.com and avillion manager has no right to settle the money that we pay extra?! First time i heard and experienced about this case. Othe than that, my room was getting the smell of urine. Oh my god!!! I really want to give you a bad comments to everyone who interested to stay here!! Thanks for giving me an unforgettable bad experience staying at your hotel!!! If you want to book this hotel, you must pray before you go because you may face a same problem like me. Good luck for those guest!!!
