I stayed at Hotel Ottavia in November when the season is low thus was very quiet. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and had all the basic needs. the breakfast was fine and was served with all I have asked for. The area is nice feel safe and is within a fair walking distance even to the city center. Within a few minutes walk you may also get a bus to the city center which takes only a couple of minutes. I imagine that it would be more lively in summer.

Room unclean. Bed unclean, with someone's hair on the lining. Hotel is old and in generally bad condition. Breakfast is small amount of everything. Pastry lies uncovered for a few days. Tables dirty. Dishes collected rarely. One person of the staff serves for everything: reception, kitchen, bar. Not recommend for anyone. Should have 1 star or 0 stars, not 2 stars.

Very comfortable stay although did experience some minor issues.
We were in a family room which had a double bed and a bunkbed. The structure of the top bunk seemed a bit unstable so we instead put the mattress on the floor. This was not a major issue and we still all slept extremely well.
Hotel itself is quite nice although could be updated slightly which would improve it considerably.
Food in the evening was reasonably good although portions are quite small. Breakfast was extremely good with a large selection of pastries, cold meats and juices.
I couldn't access the wifi in the building but this again was not a major issue.
Staff were all extremely friendly and very professional.
All in all, very comfortable stay.

Room was good, breakfast was excellent. Near to the shore. Good pizza restaurant in neighborhood. The street was narrow and parking not so good but the service was friendly. Italian feeling, with great coffee.

I just got back from the hotel „Ottavia“ in Rimini. First of all, you should know that this is a budget 2* supp. hotel, so you can’t expect „Ritz“ etc.
„Ottavia“ is a small hotel, containing only 22 rooms, on 3 floors. It’s quite nice for the price you pay. Hotel is placed in a calm part of a town (precisely it’s a part of Rimini called San Giuliano a Mare), just about 60-70 meters from the beach (sunbeds are paid – 18 € per day). But, if you don’t want to pay there is also a so-called „free beach“, you’ll sure find it.
My room was on the third floor, with a small balcony. The rooms are extremely small, so don’t expect much space, but for me, it wasn’t problem, because I spent very few time in the room. Furniture is basic. There is also a TV, but it has only one italian channel, so I suppose it has to be payed to have a cable, or something like that. The thing I disliked most about this hotel is lack of shower cabbin in a bathroom (which is also miniature) – there is only a shower on a wall and that is all, so you have to take a shower in your slippers. I have to say that the room was very clean (cleaned every day). Toilet paper and towels were also changed every day. During the time I was there, it was pretty warm outside, so I need to use air conditioner. It is not included in price, so I had to pay 20 € per week to use it. It’s also one more negative side of the hotel.
I had just breakfast in the hotel restaurant, so I can’t say what was dinner like, but breakfast was very poor. Only some busquits, jam, croissants, that’s it; plus tea/milk/coffee. So, I ate somewhere else (there is a bakery just near the hotel).
One more thing that I had problem with – no one on the reception don’t know english (actually, they know few words), just italian, so our conversation was more like pantomime, but I have to say that all of them were very helpful and willing to solve any problems. Great people!
Location of the hotel is just great – 30 min. walk (5 min by bus) from the railway station and historical center of Rimini. The bus stop (station number 8; bus number 4) is also 5 min walk, so it’s a good choice for those who want to explore something else, beside the beach and sea.
