I got the VIP suite which is located at the back part of the resort.
The rooms are really nice and clean. There are housekeeping staff constantly cleaning the hallways all day. They are very courteous and kind too.
There were lots of mosquitoes, and I dunno where they are coming from. The wakeboarding areas are saltwater and definitely does not have stagnant water.

Bringing of food is not allowed, but the restaurant offers a wide variety of food. The asian dishes are hit and miss. However, their indian and mediterranean food are excellent. They also serve the best halo halo ever!!! The restaurant staff are very efficient. Serving of food and cleaning is fast. The breakfast may look expensive from the menu but the serving is really really big.

The beach front is a bit small though. It is swimmable during the mornings. In the afternoon, the tide is usually low and lots and lots of starfish, seasnails and hermit crabs can be seen.

Overalll I think this is a well managed resort because they can manage peak season very well. Everything about running this place from parking, checking in, housekeeping and serving meals runs smoothly in the busiest holiday.

We were 32 persons (28 adults and 4 kids) for this great family reunion hosted by my sister who visited from Canada. Choosing Lago de Oro is the best decision we made because the place did not disappoint us. We booked 3 suites (Suites Prince Alain, Prince Albert, and Premier Family) and they're all on the same floor in their new building. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the toilet and bath huge and with sufficient hot water, we were all able to sleep soundly in our own assigned beds (nobody needed to sleep uncomfortably) because extra mattresses were provided, the bedsheet are crisp and clean, the towels are generous and the location perfect - all walking distance to the pool beach, restaurants and nearby wakeboarding area. The staff service are superb especially Ms Bea onsite operations, Kaye from reservations, F&B staff in the main restaurant, Housekeeping team and the wakeboard staff. The food very good but quite pricey - good for sharing though. No other restaurants nearby so no choice but dine in. Food if brought will have corkage fee - you are only allowed to bring light snacks. Overall, our stay was excellent! I hope service quality remains the same because we hope to come back again one day.

Lago De Oro's location is convenient. It is accessible via Nasugbu and Batangas City-Lemery-Balayan (best option when its traffic in Tagaytay). All our stays so far are pleasant. The rooms are plain and old but still well-maintained. The room size is comfortable most especially for big groups.

Our family would often come here for breakfast & dinner coz they have the best and authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern food! Sooo legit! All the staff are friendly and attentive most especially the waiters.

Worst hotel! Don't ever come here if you don't want to feel so dissapointed!
⭕reception~they gave us wrong information on the room rates when we inquired....then want to charge us with different room rate upon checkout👎🏻👎🏻
⭕hotel structures and amenities are already rundown..very old and didn't have good maintenance.
⭕food are not that good.👎🏻
room design is not convenient.~ power outlets, extra bed..etc.
⭕shower~no hot water
✅wakeboarding staff is nice
✅bellboy is very helpful.
Overall, will not come back or even recommend this hotel to others.

We normally do not go on vacation at this side of Batangas due to the beaches that are not as great as the other towns. But we tried Lago de Oro due to the good reviews about it. Here's my review.
Good points:
1. Spacious rooms (at Block 300)
There is wheelchair access and parking in front of the rooms but best access is via the resto/pool side. Rooms here are clean, spacious and can accommodate four people with ease. With mini-ref, water heater and TV but with few channels. There are tables and lots of chairs inside the room.
2. Courteous staff
They are very friendly and well-trained.
3. Good food
Food generally good. Price is P799 for whole fried chicken order but pieces good for around 4-5 pax. Rice is P45 per cup but plentiful. Plan for at least P250-P350 per head per meal. Breakfast at P350 was great, can be shared by two but if you are really hungry the P350 set is good for you.
4. Pool was clean
A bit old but the pool was clean. Maybe 10-12 people can comfortably swim there. Deepest part is 5 ft.
5. Affordable Wakeboard Access
If booked, you pay P250 per head for 3.5hr. Not bad. Instructors very helpful.
6. Ample parking space everywhere.
7. Super relaxing view of the ocean. Great lawns to play frisbee or play with your dog/s.
8. Reasonable room rates. Don't forget to ask for the senior citizen discount for rooms if traveling with seniors.

A few points for improvement:
1. Mosquitoes in the room. Not a lot but uncomfortably a few were there. Bring insect repellent lotion!
2. Wheelchair access is hard from parking area in front of the PWD room. Lago de Oro should provide a more accessible ramp there.

Water and chips are allowed. There are no nearby places to eat at but there resto offers a variety of food to choose from. The Lebanese grilled chicken was excellent!

The beach was dirty from the rains. But just the wind and the view are enough to relax you on a weekend trip. Will definitely book again !
