We stayed here after staying in Troulos bay and extending our holiday. The pool and bar are great ...especially if you bring your own crowd . We were in Skiathos for our wedding so had plenty if guests with us. My daughter ,granddaughter and my hairdresser stayed here before us. We came here for drinks at night and for fun in the pool during the day. They can not do enough for you and are generous with bar snacks and drinks. The room was spotless and spacious. The bathroom wasn't fantastic but it didn't spoil our stay. The shower didn't hang from the hook properly and it was difficult to get in a good position. The beds were comfortable . The gardens were lovely . We will go back . Great for families and larger groups. We miss the family. There is a great restaurant very close by called " The sunset taverna" which does excellent food and can cope with large groups. It is close to the main road and bus stop 20.

George and Anna took over The Almira Hotel in Jan 2020 so please ignore any reviews made prior to this.
With the help of their lovely staff, they have made this hotel into one of the best we have stayed in in our many years of visiting Greek Islands. It is stylish, and all areas are immaculately kept. The bar and pool area are beautifully furnished.
We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious with a lovely balcony. The bed was large and very comfortable. There were no extra charges, bedroom safe and air-con were included and worked well. Room was cleaned to a high standard every day and linen changed every couple of days.
The hotel is in easy walking distance of Troulos beach, which is lovely and sandy, a supermarket, restaurants and no.20 bus stop. The buses run regularly to Skiathos town and many other beaches.
Nothing was too much trouble for George, Costas and Anna, they went out of their way to make our stay as perfect as possible. They give the personal touch which, for me, is what Greece is all about.
We can't wait to return!
The hotel's email address is info@skiathosalmira.gr - not what is shown on the Tripadvisor website.

We spent 2 enjoyable weeks at the Beltsios in September but see that someone else didn’t!
To give the other side of things, this reviewer made no mention of the fact that they were probably there around the time of the Thomas Cook collapse. In which case it should be remembered that the hotel were down a considerable amount of revenue ( they hadn’t been paid ! ) hardly likely to make the owners full of the joys of spring was it !. The water was indeed off a couple of time because there weren’t enough rooms occupied to keep it flowing continuously but it always came back on !
As for the swimming pool, the pump had broken and they couldn’t get anyone so late in the season to fix it ( season finished 4th October ) obviously because of the Thos Cook situation no new guests were arriving, only leaving, consequently during the final week there was hardly anyone left at the hotel, I wonder also if the whinging reviewer actually used the restaurant as some people ( their right of course) prefered not to spend any money in the restaurant, instead, opting to save money by using the facilities in their room !
Same thing applied to the bar, I don’t blame them one bit for closing early as many people didn’t use when it was open, I guess buying from the supermarket and sitting drinking on their balconies ( again, their choice of course ! )
Don’t let one sided views like this put you off, we have stayed quite a few times now at the Beltsios and will stay there again as under NORMAL circumstances the hotel is absolutely fine.

Myself and my wife stayed at the Beltsios in August and found the accommodation and bar and pool area very good, Tony and the bar staff were friendly and helpful and the maid that cleaned our room was very good and cleaned our room to a good standard, we would definitely go back again.

We booked this trip blindly but little did we know we had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean and updated the room was much larger then expected. The bar and pool area was full of excitement. The restaurant that's attached to the hotel, Tiffany's was delicious. We where surprised to find out the location is convenient along with the beach that is 5 minutes away is a destination beach.... I would say, we scored big time with this place. We would definitely stay again.

Questions & answers about the rooms

Hi Joy No problems with any of your points the nearest supermarket is about a 5 minutes walk and flat all the way the beach is a further 5 minutes down another flat road. We stayed in a first floor corner room and the sunshine was good. The whole of Troulos is relatively flat and everything is in easy walking distance as it is only a small resort. Happy holidays Eddy
