A little out of the way place but minutes from the airport. Great reception - cheery, helpful and kind. Took a 2 bed, room that had a couch, shelving and overlooked the pool. Showers and toilets separate. Kitchen beside the pool was small but adequately stocked. You store your stuff, named, in cubicles or in the fridge. Many lounges with great views of the sunset or sunrise overlooking the Atlantic. The hostel is metres from the water. The beach alongside the hostel is a little rough and rocky - your best bet is Playa Izquierdo (El Ribanzo) in a sheltered alcove, ten minutes north. This place is very windy and well known for windsurfing. Our overriding impression of the place was quiet and clean..
This hostel is spotlessly clean with an excellent standard of building work, painting, plumbing and tiling equal to a 4* hotel. I traveled alone and stayed 3 nights in room 208 and shared a male/female dorm with 4 bunks ( 8 beds ) this room overlooks the swimming pool. 8 electric sockets for phone charging.
Many toilets and showers , no queue.
Beds are wooden and sturdy. Mattress was clean and good quality, but too hard for me . I recommend you to bring your own pillow. Temperatures are cold at night in January so I recommend that you take your own sleeping bag. Bedding can be hired from hostel reception.
Layout of this huge building is excellent, with two large relaxing rooms.
The kitchen is far too small for the size of the hostel with only one electric 4 ring stove and 5 pans. The oven was broken during my stay. I recommend you take your own cutlery, bowls and a cup . There are 3 large fridges and a very well organised system for personal food storage. Kitchen is very clean.
Free car park adjacent to the hostel .
Beachside hostel with views of the sunrise from the pool and the upstairs lounge.
Excellent free wifi
I will stay here again and recommend it to male and female solo travellers .
Rooms are very big and stylish. I found bed little uncomfortable and room windows could be opened for just a little so air exchange wasn't optimal. I didn't like unpersonal atmoshere, kitchen sometimes had a funny smell and staff didn't speak English. Room view was awesome. I hated that you had to pay separately to swim in pool. Door had a pretty worn out lock, you had to learn how to not turn around dorknob.
But overall it was an ok stay.
