Florence and Dominique are the sort of hosts that you wish for - welcoming us to their beautiful home set in the tranquil and peaceful countryside. Our room was elegant and breakfast was delicious . It was a pleasure to meet them and will gladly return.

My wife and I flew into CDG from Washington, D.C. for a two week trip around France. We decided to begin our trip with a one-night stay near Bayeux to explore the landing beaches of WWII. We chose Les Chaufourniers for our accommodations, and could not have been happier with our decision!

We arrived Les Chaufourniers from Caen after taking the train from Paris. A short 45 minute drive from Caen put us into Crouay where we found Florence and Dominique, and their beautiful home. Parking is ample for those driving a rental vehicle. Florence was quick to show us to our room, and even offered to assist with dinner reservations for two very tired travelers! Thank you!

After dinner in Port-en-Bessin, we retired for the evening. Our room was accessible through a separate entrance so that we could return later in the evening without disturbing any of the guests. The area is so quiet at night - we could have slept for days! The next morning, Florence had breakfast ready for us, and we enjoyed a wonderful conversation before our day's visits to Bayeux, Omaha Beach, and Point du Hoc.

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom features are very modern and clean. A hair dryer and toiletries were also provided, as were towels and bottled water. WiFi was also available. I would recommend this property for anyone visiting the area.

Along with the wonderful welcome, Florence and Dominique are just lovely. Each room appears to have come from a page of Architecture Digest or House Beautiful. Florence has created a warm, inviting and comfortable home away from home. Breakfast was amazing - best croissants, jam, coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Attention to detail - spectacular! Since moving to Paris, we have had and will have many friends visiting, among the spending time in Paris, time at Mont Saint Michel will be at the top of the most see & do list. Along with that will be to stay with Florence & Dominique.
Beautiful property, quiet, the smell was delightful - wished we could have stayed longer. But looking forward to returning many times.

Our stay with Florence and Dominique was absolutely amazing. The accomodations were superb. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed. Our view looked out over the stable and courtyard. The bathroom was large with a beautifully tiled shower, towel warmer, and separate room for the toilet. Breakfast was served when we came down in the morning. The house filled with the smell of fresh croissants baking in the oven. We were fortunate to be there one of the nights Florence and Dominique offered an additional dinner for the guests. This was well worth the extra cost and I would recommend attending if you have the opportunity. This is offered seasonally depending on the night and occupancy. The location is great for visiting Normandy beaches. We will definitely include them on our next visit to France.

Florence and Dominique were delightful hosts. Florence / Dominque are bilingual and knowledgeable about the area/France in general. Our room was comfortable and decorated with amazing photographs of their travels. It was convenient to the beaches in Normandy and we had an excellent dinner (prepared by the owners). Breakfast every morning was more than enough to get us going. We recommend it highly for a stay.
