This was our first time at Hakuba Grand apartments and we loved it. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that was spacious and within walking distance to the Saka ski lift. Dave and Takami were always very helpful with driving us to the shops and giving us hints and tips on where to eat and things to do around Hakuba. We would highly recommend a stay at Hakuba Grand Apartments

Weeklong stay at the Hakuba Grand Apartments, family if 6 (kids 8,12,14,15). Two bedroom apartment was perfect size, spacious bedrooms and living area, two bathrooms with separate toilets. Welcome hamper in room was perfect touch, with cereal, bread, milk, eggs, jam and juice, made first morning a dream to get us on the slopes without having to worry about organizing breakfast. Well done, there was enough for breakfast for a few days actually.

Dav and Tameka (prob spelt wrong sorry) we’re excellent hosts and nothing was a problem, from collecting us from the bus station and driving us all back to the ski hire store same evening we arrived. Our son got ill during stay and Dav organized doctors appointment and run my wife and son into town to the doctors.

Apartments are well located to ski slopes, 100mtr walk to nearest chairlift. The kids got themselves organized each morning and were gone skiing & snowboarding by themselves. And at end of day there’s a great ski gear storage room and drying room + coin operated washer and dryer.

Area in front of apartments (car park) was excellent for kids to play in the snow, they even made one of the best snowmen Dav’s seen in a while.

Couldn’t fault the apartments or the hospitality of Dav and Temeka.

Thanks again for looking after us.

It was our 4th time stayed at Hakuba Grand Apartments (HGA). However, this time we had 3 adults and a teenager. Therefore, we booked a 2 bedrooms instead of one bedroom for 7 nights. We had a lot of space between us. It was great to see Dave and Takame again. Their hospitality was 2nd to none. My sister who didn’t ski. Dave and Takame looked after her very well. They recommended activates to fill her time. My sister is an expert on Onsen now. We thought we tried all the restaurants already but Dave always surprised us. He helped to make dinner reservation, organize skis hired, arrange pickup and drop off, purchase fire work and arrange baby sister. Nothing seems too much trouble to him and everything “can be arranged”.

HGA has a huge car park which kind of enclosed therefore, it’s safe for kids to play outside. Kids had snowball fight and played on the sleds right outside of the apartments while adults enjoyed beer in the communal area inside (with heater). The dry and laundry rooms are good size and clean. In fact, the whole apartments is bright, tidy and clean.

We also like HGA because we believe it located at a prime location. Walking (5 mins) distance to everywhere e.g. skis rental shop, Onsen (with Ph 11) and restaurants. The ski lift (Sakka II) is just around the corner.

As returnees, we didn’t feel that we were treated less important as we knew the “drill” already. In fact, we felt like we were visiting an old friend and had a good time and conversation with. To be honest with you, we did look around for other accommodation but we always end up with HGA because of its location and people.

HGA has 11 rooms only. We already booked ourselves for next year.

Hope this helpful to you.

Regards,
Daisy

We spent a week staying at Hakuba with six guys in the 3 bedroom suite. We were looking for the ability to self cater and have some space.
The property was great for our group, but made even more perfect by Takami and Dave.
They booked restaurants, gave excellent directions, drove us to the best mountains each day and even picked us up when were caught out.
The Wadano area is a lot quieter than the busier Happo Gondola area (about 15 minute walk), but has a couple of great restaurants and bars really close by. The Rhythm hire shop is a 2 minute walk or the guys can drop you there.
The closest lift is Sakka Dai 2 lift which is about a 5 minute walk.
I will be coming back with my family soon.

Well appointed and comfortable studios. Staff are friendly, helpful, excellent. They run a good shuttle service around town (though it closes at 19.30).
Not ski in ski out. A 200 - 300 metre walk to a lift.
In room cooking or go out to restaurants.
