We stayed in the dworek for two nights and was very good. We were three people and my daughter got an extra room next in our suite. Price was absolutely reasonable. Try dinner in the evening. The cooking is great. Fish from the lake nearby. You can’t see the lake from the hotel, which we expected to be able to. Good starting point for trips to Szczecin and Pommerania.
The hotel could be difficult to find without GPS as it is off the main road. This in itself is a good thing as we had a restful stay away from traffic noise.
We had a very well priced room booked through booking.com.I think the rate for other rooms would have been much higher.A bonus was a full breakfast making our overnight deal even better.
Reception was a bit stand offish and when we were shown to our room it smelt of cigarette smoke when it was advertised as non smoking. We had the feeling the receptionist didn't believe us but she relented and gave us the adjoining room.
The room was fairly compact but OK for us and the price we paid.Good bathroom and plenty of hot water.Internet access was very good.
The hotel is set in large grounds with spaces to sit at outside. There are walks through forest to the lake nearby.
My wife and I stayed at the Dworek Hetmanski for a long weekend in June,on the occasion of my nephew's wedding, along with around 30 guests from the UK.
The setting is decidedly rural (although only a short distance from motorways) and perfect for a wedding party - we occupied the whole hotel. The gardens are well designed with space to relax. One tip though - take insect repellant (the mosquitoes!).
The food was tasty and well-presented, and the service was generally of a good standard. Our room (a ''garden room'') was modern and attractive, of average proportions with well-appointed bathroom (except lack of shelving for toileteries, etc) Overall, a distinctive hotel which provided a extra dimension tothe wedding proceedings.
The staff were very helpful (the manager even carrying the luggage to our room). It is probably a hotel better suited for a summer stay as the roads were rather awful and compounded by snow. The hotel decor was very much in character of a Polish countryhouse yet combined with all the usual modern facilities. The food for the evening meal and breakfast was good. The hotel was very good value for money.
