This was just about OK for a one night stay but the cramped bedroom would rather put us off maybe staying again. We were made to feel welcome and there's a nice lt of space downstairs. We were aware that there was no cooked breakfast and the bags in the fridge were OK. The shower and bathroom were adequate and for Bristol the cost was good value, hotels here seem quite expensive.

We are very sorry to hear you didn’t find the bedroom big enough. It’s a mezzanine apartment so a small amount of the bedroom space is taken Up by the stairs, however the room fits a double bed, wardrobe/dressing area along with a good sized Ensuite. There is also a lounge with bistro area downstairs. Guests have always complemented us on the large space of the apartment compared to hotel rooms. We always appreciate feedback in order to make improvements for our guests to ensure they have a thoroughly enjoyable stay with us. We hope that your stay was still enjoyable. Many Thanks

When in this area I have previously always stayed at the local premier Inn, but their diabolically restricted Wi-Fi made me look further afield. I found this place on line and decided to give it a go – it’s a self-contained annex adjacent to the owners property. You have your own entrance and its completely private. There’s easy parking out front, and I was met by the owner with a cup of tea and plate of biscuits. Downstairs is a cosy living room, whilst upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom – a mini home from home. Sure, there’s no cooked breakfast, but what’s provided is an entertaining and filling treat.

It’s only a short walk to several of the village’s pubs and a local convenience store.

Altogether its very good and that bit different – I’m sure that I will return. Oh, and great Wi-Fi too – are you listening Premier Inn?

We only stayed one night as we were visiting bath however we could easily have stayed for a lot longer.
The whole place was spotless with ample breakfast facilities and doggy bags for the journey the following day.
As stated it was spotless with free wifi and tv channels both downstairs and upstairs in the bedroom. The bathroom was cleaner than an operating theatre and the friendliness of the david the owner was second to none , nothing was a problem and as for the price!!!!!!!!!! excellent value for money.
Please accept our sincere thanks for making us so welcome.
Regards and best wishes and see you soon

Nick and Jenny

Wow! Nick & Jenny, what can we say, other than thank you so much for your glowing review. Really glad you enjoyed your stay and that you got to see Bath Christmas Market which is a wonderful prelude to the festive season. Hope we see you again perhaps when you plan to visit Bristol or the market towns around the Cotswold's. David & Sandra.

I have been a guest of Orchard Cottage B&B for several days each week since December 2014, as I have been working in the area. The owners (David & Sandra) asked me if I would kindly post a review to explain that my extended stay will have resulted in a reduction in reviews (as they only have the one apartment); I was more than happy to oblige.

The apartment really is a home from home - a beautiful apartment in a lovely village in the countryside, but with good access to the ring road and M4. David and Sandra are absolute perfectionists when it comes to the quality of the apartment, and customer service - there is nothing that could be improved on!

Personally I much prefer staying there than even the best hotel in Bristol:- more space (the apartment is on two levels: sitting room downstairs and bedroom & bathroom upstairs), better quality surroundings (both inside and outside), quieter and more peaceful, much better customer service (making life much easier for an extended stay), and importantly a much nicer welcome!

I have booked nights from Dec 2014 through to April 2015 and I would love to keep this place a secret! But I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you very much David and Sandra for many great stays!

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay, was like being home from home but with all the little added extra's! nothing was too much, really felt welcomed from start to finish, cant think of one bad point, would stay again if was visiting bath or bristol areas.
Lovely set up with the private living room on ground floor and bedroom upstairs.
Thanks again!! Loved it!!
