This is my hotel of choice in Dubai, I've stayed 24 times now, but what impressed me was on my second stay they knew how I liked my coffee. Everyone I talk to that stays here is blown away by the customer service, the quality of finish and the size of the rooms. The location is perfect, 10 mins from the airport, 10 mins to the Burj Khalifa and the best sunset views of Dubai from the balcony. You cannot be disappointed if you stay at Raffles, it's just not possible.
This for me is Dubai's No.1 Japanese restaurant, its like going to the theatre, the styling, the outfits, the food, the chefs and the service are all very authentic, evidenced by the numerous Japanese guests dining there. That and all the Time Out awards. But the best bit is their rooftop lounge bar with just amazing views of the city and a live DJ. Its awe inspiring!
The Burj Khalifa is currently the worlds tallest tower, its going to be around long after we are all gone. You can't visit Dubai and not take the opportunity to go and visit. Go up the tower and get your picture taken then your great great grandkids can follow in your footsteps in years to come. This is an icon of our civilisation, no matter which way you look at it. Remeber and spend some time in awe of it from the outside too and once you've been you can forever see the Burj and think, I've been there!
One of Dubai's top restaurants, packed every night with the VERY trendy crowd. You need to book in advance for Zuma. To get the best of it ask the manager to help you choose their best dishes from the menu and then share them. Everyone I took here was blown away by the Black Cod - you have to try it.
If you are from the UK and you like Indian food, then this is the place for you, it is literally the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to and I've been to a few in Manchester! Its so close to the Raffles hotel, and it looks a little dodgy from the outside, but the service is ALWAYS 5 star and the food is so delicious and extremely filling and the prices very reasonable. I always recommend this to people and everyone says it's great. The owner is a famous TV chef from India, so famous that even the owner of my local Indian takeaway knew who he was!!!!
I love going here at night, the weather is perfect and it feels so continental, because it's attached to the hotel there are lots of friendly tourists having a nice time and a great vibe. They do great food - burger and chips highly recommended and its a great place to try shisha too.
The best place to see the fountains is from one of the restaurants, you've no idea how attractive you look to your partner when the fountains are soaring behind you and the classic italian opera is accompanying them. If you're not already in love then dining by the fountains will make sure you fall in love that night.
There is a bar here called QD's and it has the most amazing sunset view of Dubai. Their seafood is brilliant, the vibe is perfect and the prices are extremely reasonable. They do shisha too for the authentic middle eastern experience. If you come during the day, its just as amazing and you can also hire a BBQ donut and have a BBQ out on the creek, while the sun goes down.
Without a doubt, my favourite steak house in Dubai, it delivers every time. The steaks are cooked to perfection, the decor is fantastic, the clients are a mix of Atlantis hotel guests and Dubai visitors, the manager always stops by to make sure your okay, the servers have a sense of humour, flames lick up from the kitchen and they play Sinatra. What more can you ask for?!
