I love to travel. I am not happy unless I am planning a new adventure, returning to a beloved city, or blazing a trail to somewhere I have never been before. My favorite places in the world are London, New Orleans, Disneyland, and Salem, Massachusetts. I also love to write about everything and anything to do with travel. I have penned travel guides for TripAdvisor on Jamaica, Nassau, Charleston, Savannah, Nashville, Punta Cana, Kissimmee, San Juan, Panama City Beach, Louisville, Cincinnati, Key Largo, Biloxi, Tampa, Cleveland, Clearwater, Branson, Pigeon Forge, and Phoenix.

The Manati Park Bavaro is the number one place that I suggest for anyone visiting the lovely Punta Cana to experience. This lush, tropical oasis offers everything from dolphin encounters to thrilling horse shows.
Bavaro Beach is protected by an off-shore reef, so this is an excellent choice for families with young children. This postcard quality beach is pretty well developed, with many gift shops, hotels, and restaurants.
If you are an avid gambler, Punta Cana is an excellent place to get in some gaming, and no other casino can thrill like Hard Rock! With over 45,000 square feet featuring table games, slots, and a dedicated poker room, this is definitely the place to try to meet up with Lady Luck. Or if gambling is not your style, simply relax by the pool or indulge in a spa treatment.
ORO Nightclub is the premier dance party in Punta Cana, and it is also conveniently located at the Hard Rock Casino. The audio/visual effects at ORO are stimulating, with giant LED walls, intelligent lighting, all over 14,000 square feet of excitement.
Aquagames is full of exciting attractions, like the 10-meter high tower with two water tubes, two open toboggans, and a free fall twister. There is also a Caribbean themed pirate play area for young children.
This ecological park is truly magical, with lush vegetation and wildlife that is typical to the Punta Cana area. The park is comprised of twisting trails that lead to freshwater lagoons and attractions including an iguana habitat, petting zoo, sugarcane exhibition, and a fruit tree garden.
Juanillo Beach is a brilliant stretch of sand that is lined with palm trees. This beach is not typically overcrowded, so there is always a spot open on the sand. Best known for its restaurant's great seafood and burgers along with delicious cocktails — don't forget to check for the weekly specials!
Scape Park offers adrenaline-pumping adventures like the zip line, top buggies, and cave exploration. They also have a nice arts and craft market, a bike eco trail, and animal interactions with monkeys, birds, and much more!
Hoyo Azul is a natural lagoon, commonly referred to as a 'blue hole.' After walking through a tropical forest, guests arrive at the top of a wooden platform, where they will climb down steps to enter into the water. Hoyo Azul is beyond breathtaking!
Macao Beach is another one of Punta Cana's treasures, especially noted for its fine sand. This is the beach that most of the locals frequent for its amenities and water clarity.
Macao Surf Camp is wonderful for beginners or seasoned surfers just wanting a little more instruction. They offer group and private lessons, with bilingual instructors.
If you plan on squeezing in a few rounds while in Punta Cana, this is the place! This immaculately maintained inland course offers plenty of challenges.
The Plaza Bavaro is a great source for shopping in Punta Cana. Be prepared to find clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, and more.
The Caribbean Buccaneers Dinner Show is full of family fun on the high seas! For one price, guests receive first class entertainment and a delicious meal.
