How to Add Gift Cards to Your Tripadvisor Listing

If you’re offering gift cards as a way to supplement your income during the COVID-19 crisis, you can add a notification to your Tripadvisor listing. Here’s how.

Include a Gift Card on Your Tripadvisor Listing

If your restaurant offers gift cards, let your customers know on your Tripadvisor listing. Once you’ve logged into your Management Center, follow these simple steps:

  1. Select “Manage Listing” in the navigation bar at the top of the page and choose “Name and Description.”
  2. Switch the toggle for the “My restaurant offers gift cards” card at the top of the page.
  3. Copy and paste a link to a web page where customers can order gift cards.
  4. Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.

If you don’t offer gift cards online, we’ll direct your customers to call your restaurant using the phone number listed at the top of your Tripadvisor page. Click here to learn how to update your contact information.

And that’s it! A notification that your business offers gift cards will display on your restaurant’s listing page within 24 hours. It looks like this:

Customers will also be able to find your restaurant through a gift cards filter on search.

Why are gift cards showing on my listing?

To help as many restaurants as possible, Tripadvisor automatically showcases restaurants that offer gift cards online or through our partners. If you would like to opt out of this notification or update the link, go to “Manage Listing” and under “Name and Description,” switch the toggle to “Off.”
