Busuanga Bay Lodge Questions & Answers

London

Hi, we have booked a family room for 3 nights in July, How far is the hotel from the airport? Do I need to book for someone to pick us up from airport? I have read some comments stating no beach in the hotel, do we have to pay extra to go to South cay island? also how much is the cost for boat trips to different island? Is there other choices of restaurant somewhere to eat?

the hotel is about 1 hour away from the airport, the cost ranges anywhere from 2500php to 3000php, depending on which transportation agency you book with. yes, make sure you make the arrangements in advance as airport transfers can be limited and expensive if you wait until you arrive at the airport. The resort has no proper beach access, partially due to the amount of jellyfish in the area and limited sand/beach area. The resort pool or villa pools are amazing. The island tours is a must. you will see some of the best beaches and provide some amazing snorkeling.

Busuanga Bay lodge - They charge p1000 per person per way if you want to go into town. Around 45mins-1hour from the airport and there are no restaurants neaby except for their in-house resto (which serves delicious food)

There is no beach access - the beach area is silted since the resort is located near the mouth of the river. The resort is positioned on a hilly area, its main dining area and infinity pool are on the topmost of the hill and gives a beautiful view.

South Cay - also owned by Busuanga Bay Lodge is included in the resort's island hopping tours. Around 3,000-4500 per person (includes 3 islands and lunch on South Cay). The island has no trees - only a few nipa shades and lunging chairs.

Good for snorkeling.

If you want cheaper island hopping, book in the Coron Town hotels - Westown Hotel or Two Seasons Coron Town Hotel.

Island Hopping Tours range from 1000-1500 per person including lunch.

All tour companies have the same menu so it will be easy to choose.

Do not miss: Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecados (all bunched together in one tour package)

Must Try: Barracuda Lake where there is thermocline but no barracuda :)

Been there 3x last year and coming back again in July this year.

Enjoy your stay!!!

airport to hotel in less than an hour.

transfer can be arranged by the hotel too, they have accredited vans, around 2,500 php

South Cay is their property but only a year old island, not much trees, its so hot in there.

Highly recommended is the Ultimate Island Tour- around 7 amazing island. around 2,500 per head option to include lunch. Wear aqua shoes. The tourist guides are all kind and warm. Have fun !

You can also book a sea aircraft that take you directly from Manila to the hotel. I guess the hotel knows the details, pricing etc.

Warning: internet is really really bad-everyone in the hotel share on satellite internet connection.

To go to South Cay it's 3000 php/pers but it's amazing (drink/food included)

The hotel can pick you up at the airport.

There is no proper beach but the swimming pool and the island around are wonderful.

Don't remember exactly the price for the coron island tour but if you contact the hotel they will give you all the price.

This place is stunning !'

The transportation to the airport and the town is 2500 php one way. There's really no other option for dining other than what's in the resort. You have to pay extra for the island hopping to go to an actual beach. You're better off staying in town if you're looking to explore. If you're looking to relax and have an amazing food and not leave the resort this place is absolutely perfect for that.
