Dear Sir:

The best way to come here is hiring a car.

can't believe how expensive it is for a transfer it was going to cost me £200 from Marcia airport. luckily we have friends that live in Mazzaron who collected us they have a friend who taxis on the side charged us about 50 euros to return to the airport.

You can walk from airport (long walk) or get a bus into Alicante and pick up train to Totana and then a bus to Mazarron. May not be a bus running when you want one. Could get a taxi from Totana to Mazarron. I would hire a car, a lot less hassle.

You can get a train from Alicante to Totana and then a bus to Puerto de Mazarron. I think there is a bus from Alicante also. September it's probably better to hire a car and drive yourself, motorway all the way takes about 90 mins.

Good afternoon - difficult one for me, as we always hire a car when we are down there, which is just 20 -30 Euro per day. £200 seems steep for a taxi though.

I can recommend a great car hire company, we use every month (we have bought there now).

Try a local Facebook page. Further south to and from Vera and Mojacar there are always people car sharing for the cost of the fuel. There is a shuttle service from Alicante to Mojacar - alternatively maybe they could drop you off near Murcia where the cost of a taxi will probably be less.
