My husband and I and another couple are planning a trip west in October 2018 and Lake Powell is on our itinerary. We will be staying 2 nights and should arrive by midday on the first day. We would like to visit Antelope Canyon and take a boat tour on Lake Powell. I have read some of the reviews about boat tours in particular the Rainbow Bridge tour. Which tours do you recommend ? Who are the tour companies? Thank you.
We used the company associated with the resort for the boat tour. We used Kens tours for Antelope Canyon.
Try lake Powell website then things to do then boat tours and rainbow bridge tour, I believe this is the company I went with
You will really enjoy this area, but it has a lot of tourists even in October. For antelope canyon I recommend making a reservation as well, two companies operate out of the site and as there is only one entrance ladder the wait times get rather long- about an hour. (For lower antelope canyon that is). Perhaps try to do that the day you arrive just make sure you have enough daylight. I did not do upper antelope canyon as it loses daylight even earlier and the cost to do both is a consideration. The rainbow bridge tour was wonderful, I don’t recall the company, but I am not sure there is more than one. Do make reservations as it is always full. It took about 8 and a half hours the day I went as they had to stay in the deeper part of the reservoir due to the drought. I’ll look a little and if I find the name of the company will forward it along! Carrie
