    On New Years eve can you see the ball drop from the lobby?

    No. You need to pay for an upgrade to a room with a definite view. Alternatively they do hold a party and you can see it from there

    No you cannot. The restaurant in the lobby with the windows and exterior sitting area is blocked off for private parties. You can pay to upgrade your room to face the ball drop and see it from your room or pay to attend the private party. I hope this helps!

    The lobby is like on the 8th floor of the building I think.

    Hmmm...not sure. The lobby is up and you can see out windows from side where restaurant / bar is but not really a clear view. Better off to call hotel directly and ask. Sorry
