Hello! This is my second trip to Palawan. Last time we stayed in ElNido and I am looking to stay here this time. My husband and I are not into diving. Is there good snorkeling from shore or do you have to take a boat to get to snorkeling? Thanks so much!
There is some okay snorkeling immediately off the beach. But if you kayak for 20 minutes, you get to the house reef, which is better. And every day they have a free snorkeling/diving powerboat excursion to a good reef.
I love this place! Recommend it highly.
Agree with RobAofLA...
I did not snorkel on the beach, but let me tell you - around the island just jump the boat in the
Morning and they will take you to some of the most beautiful crops of corals. Then you can kayak to
The hot springs near by. It seems to be these untouched hidden gardens unique to the island. The boat rides to island hop to the other nearby islands really are amazing and breathtaking. You can go near the beach, but you will want to see more and for hardly any pesos - they will take you to the best spots for snorkeling. I wish I owned a go pro.
Hi, there's wonderful snorkelling straight out in front of the resort, or you can take a kayak a little way around and explore the outstanding coral garden. It's snorkelling paradise!
HI. Sangat Island is a very beautiful island, The Resort is sitet in a beautiful bay, with a white beach in front. Reefs and corals everywhere, just a few swim strokes out. Free kayaks if you wish to go around the island, to explore more reefs, - also has a wreck, which is visible from surface. The resort it selves is beautiful maintained, and the kitchen very nice. - Also close to Coron Island, - which is a must to see! Hope you will enjoy your stay. Best Monica
I was there four days and I wish I was there longer... even though I get bored easily. The hitch would be if you hate the idea of no air conditioning, no hot water and very limited WiFi. The limits of Paradise....
They do a great job of arranging airport pickup and then boating you off to Sangat Island. There are several day trips they can do, including an awesome tour of Coron-area highlights like Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoons. Those trips often include snorkeling.
Sangat Island arranges snorkelling trips, wherein their crew also help biginners. Place of snorkelling is never near a shore, since it requires clear, but shallow water, full of diverse marine life. You can never get such spots near shore, where water is opaque & marine creatures stay away. There is another spot, where Sangat people take you to, which is submerged 2nd world war warship. It is teeming with marine creatures in its original beauty. Sangat is recommended for snorkelling. Happy holidays! Regards,
