Sorry about the delay in answering!!! We did our booking at the activity centre at the hotel and their prices are comparable.

My partner says they are cheaper to book before, she booked all our trips before we went.

We booked through the hotel and we’re content with the prices. I haven’t done comparisons.

Hi,I had booked all activities online and regretted it deeply.

We went in the busy Easter season and found that nearly every activity was being offered at discounted price. One or two activities that we booked through hotel proved to be cheaper. There is less stress n risk , prices are in dollars and ones saves by avoiding exorbitant bank dollar conversions.Online booking also had its own hassles as many travel agents/drivers were not even aware of our online booking and hence did not have our name on their pickup list. Of course they did take us to venues but sometimes pickup vehicles are very full and they had to request another vehicle for us.

So definitely NO advance booking.

Hi, we booked the tours at the hotel to be honest had no idea what we would want to do! I'd recommend the evening sunset boat trip in the small boat you see more and get really close to the animals. We were a party of 6 and had the 8 seater to ourselves. Two of us did the microlight tour of the falls now that was expensive but a one off and I lived it- scary but exciting fir me aged 69. I would look into arranging this privately didn't expect to do this.

An abiding memory on the sunset cruise us a lid of hippos looking at us as we were looking at them!

Enjoy your time there.

We only booked one activity in advance (Sunset cruise on African Queen) and it was the same price booking before or at the hotel. The only benefit of booking in advance is if things get busy but we went off season so didn't affect us. p.s. If visiting the Falls for the first time make sure to see them from the Zimbabwe side as well - awesome!

Not sure but agree with previous reply - plenty to choose from when you’re there and useful video runs by reception desk showing all activities. Guests at Avani benefit from unlimited entry to the falls which means you can see the falls in different light throughout the day. Enjoy!

Booking the hotel in advance you may see a slight difference in prices, but the various activities you can decide on once you get there - seems in my experience that the prices remain the same anyways
