I plan to visit melbourne with my wife and 2 children, aged 2 and 6 year. i just want to know whether do you impose extra charge or not for my children occupancy. My room of choice is superior apartment
Cheers from Malaysia
It is much cheaper to book directly with the apartment. When I made the booking, it is based on room. There's 3 of us (all adult) and no extra charges incurred. I went there in May 2016. The apt that I got was 2 bedroom apt which consist of 2 rooms (one with queen size bed) and the other room (sofa set which can be converted to a bed and a long chair). For superior room, you will have 1 bedroom with queen bed and a sofa in the living room area. I think it is also a convertible. This apt is very well centralised to Camberwell Mkt, Fitzroy (within walking distance - abt 10mins walk) and to Town or Queen Victoria Market.
I think they have closed down we could not contact them back April 2016 maybe new management
I should add there were also superiors with a double and a pull out couch-to-double :)
I found the price of the apartment was based on beds alone and the time of year [peak times cost more] - I travelled with one child and the apartment had two twin singles and a pull out doubles couch [which we did not need]. You can check the price by initiating the booking [but not proceeding to credit card stage] - enter your dates and number of adults and kids - then clear - then start again and see what the difference is for a superior apartment for just two adults but still specify the twin bed option [like you are just two unrelated sales reps or something :)]
I know they do charge extra if you want a cot especially added.
Hope you enjoy - the service and location and courtyard really are quite special for that area and price :)
