Having not left the UK in 15yrs and never below the equator. I am planning a Yoga, Mindfulness & relaxing trip to Bali & Thailand for a month in 2019. Looking for ideas on Yoga Retreats withhout fasting or raw diets but great Vegan/Vegetarian food, Healing etc.
I've heard about the Yoga Barn,Ubud but would like options nearer to the coast if not on it. Is it worth getting Air Bnb accommodation and doing daily classes at local studios or staying at a retreat where you follow the schedule?
Any thoughts, tips, recommendations will be greatfully received
I did 18 days of yoga in Ubud (Intuitive Flow) this past winter however it was not a retreat. We stayed within walking distance in Penestanan Kaja and I walked over daily for classes. I LOVED both the area we stayed as well as the classes.
We also spent time in Kuta, Lombok. I did classes at Mana but did not stay there. There are amazing beaches on the Island of Lombok and, as I understand it, they are MUCH cleaner and less crime ridden than the beaches on Bali.
I loved both of my experiences. I felt a more spiritual presence in Bali but if you want beach, you need to go to Lombok.
We loved Mana Retreat at Kuta Lombok. Great yoga, friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. Clean and beautiful interior. Lovely food. Vegetarian. Loved our stay there!!
Definitely go to Kuta Lombok! Mana yoga is a great place to stay and practice yoga daily. Chilled quiet Atmosphere . Friendly people and staff. Great vibe!!
